Osimhen situation can be compared to when Ronaldo and Manchester united relationship crashed. If Ronaldo had stayed he would have been treated like Osimhen.

His career is gone, he won't be d same after the end of this season, his market value will crash, his form is gone, his greed that didn't make him go to Chelsea, he's going to beg for lower amount after this season.

Foolish arrogant player. undecided
I don't understand those of you who are asking Osimhen to go to Chelsea and earn less than he's earning now
Do you mean you're prepared to earn less money than you're earning now in your work?

Exactly why I said you lack knowledge on football contracts.

Did Osimhen ever refuse to play for Napoli after selected?
Rather it was the opposite - Napoli/Conte said he won't play. Which means the only thing Osimhen is losing now are his goal bonus, appearance fees which are peanuts. His mega weekly salary will drop 1000%.

So where's the wage penalty coming from??
What sporting court will ratify it?
Which FA will back it?

You think football is your Nigerian one-man business where one fool can do and undo?

The only thing Osimhen is losing now are his goal bonus, appearance fees which are peanuts.

Bet9ja and real football are two different things bro.
Just place your bet, leave football for people wey sabi.

Osimhen is losing nothing

He gets paid
Napoli won't win Serie A
He will play well for his country
A desperate top club will come for him in January because nobody doubts his quality

The problems here are human - transfer fee, salary, pride, stubbornness - from both parties.
osimhen has bigger wages from Saudi to loose,
Osimhen has his match fitness to loose,
Osimhen,
More new players would evolve making osimhen easy to forget.
Super eagles might stop calling osimhen,
His market value would also drop.

The Saudi deal was a better option if the Chelsea wages are less.

He should go for the money if a Saudi club calls.

With all you've said, it means that any player that gets a 3 month injury, his career is over.

Everything is not about money . Yes, he will get paid . Look at the mess he is in , because of choosing money first before his career. An African player of the year. That top notch clubs are avoiding like sour milk .

He isn’t refusing to play, they are the ones refusing to play him.
In football, trying to force your transfer is as good as refusing to play for your club. He shouldn't have done that if he's not 100% sure of the other club's interest.

We told him then to move from Napoli but never listen and even Lukaku will still suffers same fate like Osimeh so let him not too happy Napoli will soon start with him.
Re: We Have Made Our Choice” – Napoli’s Sporting Director Breaks Silence On Osimhen’ by Piro18: 4:30pm On Sep 01, 2024
This is not true, his career is not gone, players that suffer long time injury still come back and play ball. Even Ivan Toney was ban for a year and he came back scoring goals, it is Napoli that will loose, they bought him for 70 million dollars, and they will pay him. The worst they can do is to terminate his contract and even at that they will pay him off.

Everything shouldn’t be about money. If your current work environment isn’t good for you, you can always get a new job even with less pay provided it’s fitting for you and your well being.

Nonsense. Who should play him now when he will be rusty and not match fit? Is the National team a rehabiltaion centre now?

Besides, it was this same Osimehn who insulted Finidi George and swore that if that meant his end to the national team, so be it. Now he needs the national team? He is a nonsense, arrogant and and visionless player

While money can be replaced, time cannot be replaced especially
in football where stars shine briefly and then goes dim.

It is not good for Osimhen to be in the bench for the next 2 seasons
regardless of the wage he earns.
My friend, it is unsuitable for a man to lose his dignity and integrity. Osihmen made the right decision; there are consequences for being right.

Napoli agreed on a contract with Al Ahli for $80 million and then requested an extra $5 million, thereby ending the proposed transfer of Osihmen to Al Ahli. Then, they tried to force a loan plus obligation to buy deal with Chelsea, which I assumed was indirectly linked to Lukaku's transfer from Chelsea to Napoli.

VaginaAcademic:

It is blatantly apparent the land and obligation to buy with Chelsea seems like a better deal for Napoli, considering Osihmen will be getting only $4 million a year from Chelsea; hence, the payment to Napoli will be in the range of over $100 million.

[color=indigo]Mr. Know-it-all...where was it stated that Osimehn was not selected after duly coming for training?

He didn't come for training in a bid to force his way out which angered Napoli officials. There are penalties for missing training sessions without permission
