DeLaRue:
So even assuming all the company does is buy cocoa and other agricultural produce from farmers, warehouse, grade, package, transport and ship them to importers in Europe and Asia.

According to you their one billion dollar revenue should not be 'ascribed to them'. Do you know how many thousands of people the company employs directly and indirectly?

Also, do you know how many Indian companies are in Lagos, Ibadan, and Akure doing similar businesses and they are big businesses. Some of them have been in Nigeria for more than 30 years. I know one in particular that opened a EU head office in the UK.

This is big business.

For a local company to not only beat these foreign companies, but generate 30% of Nigeria's total non-export revenue in a month is extraordinary.

And the man makes zero noise.

Finally, why are you so bitter about someone else doing well.

Starlinks global is doing something right, and forward thinking Nigerians should research this company and replicate the system or link up with the business somehow.

Commodities trading/export is lucrative.

I'm very much impressed by this news, especially being a Commodies trader myself. We need more development in the Non-Oil Export sector.

Charcoal, Sesame, cashew nuts, hibiscus, Ginger, Shea butter, etc can bring billions of USD monthly to the Nigeria economy.

Kudos to Starkink Global & co. Big Inspiration my company.

I hope the naysayers can now see that Nigerian indigenous companies are the real deal!

This little known indigenous company was founded from a humble beginning in 1948 by a farmer/commodity trader in old Western region of Nigeria and today earns a revenue of over $1 billion annually from Nigeria, topping even the multinationals operating in the non-oil exports! Not even Dangote Fertilizer, Indorama, Olam etc could match this indigenous company!

The Founder, Pa(Alhaji) R.A. Adeniji, is a High Chief from Ode Omu, Osun state. Silent multi-billionaire achiever with no noise wink

A single company earns more than 30% of our non-oil exports and it's proudly a Nigerian company!

Nigeria will only bless those who bless Nigeria and curse those who curse Nigeria!

Here is the lesson to those wishing ill luck to the administration of President Bola Tinubu; when you hate, criminally defame and point accusing fingers at an innocent person, the remaining 4 fingers of illwind you wish others are pointing at you! You bless Nigeria, Nigeria will bless you, you curse Nigeria, Nigeria will curse you and your generations and nothing you sow in Nigeria or outside Nigeria will be blessed because the curse will follow you around!

May God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!

Armaggedon:
you are ascribing export revenue to a marketing firm? This is how lunatics in the NBS put up deceptive statistics that service ethnic ego instead providing accurate national information.
So if I have a huge warehouse, get commodities, buy and sell some, and then help people ship abroad for export and $1bn pass through my company for example, I shouldn’t lay claim to that achievement? Won’t I generate revenue from that $1bn?

What is called a business?

Visit those guys in Lagos, it will clear your doubt. Cocoa and sesame are very expensive, if I can have a system that will attract large volume of farmers to use me to export their proceeds abroad and buy/sell some for them, I’ll be controlling huge $$ in no time.

An indigenous local company exports up to $1 billion dollars in goods, yet people up there dismiss it as propaganda. Chai.

When citizens just want their country to fail at all cost...just because their candidate didn't win elections.

Nigeria's got big problems.

Nobody is wishing Tinubu ill-luck. Infact, everyone wants the country to progress under him. Unfortunately, your guy hasn't covered himself in glory.

Many people bless and pray for Nigeria in their places of worship and the country hasn't blessed or favored them.

Some don't give a F about the country and yet they are living prosperously.

The country will only prosper under honest men who will tell their candidates the truth regardless of political party. It won't prosper under asslickers who will continue to cheer APC no matter how bad things get.

I don't believe whatever they post. It's all about trying to give their oga and tribe a good name.
While constantly giving out bad impression of others.
The kind of hate speech being discussed on Twitter spaces against the Igbos is just too scary.
The passion they put into such discussion is terrible.
I don't know if you are Igbo? My advice to anyone is just to be vigilant these days.
Re: Indigenous Company, Starlink Global Accounts For 30.93% Of Non-Oil Exports by IbeOkehie: 4:08am On Sep 02, 2024
Of course. Not surprised at all. Earlier comment from weeks ago...

IbeOkehie:
Cocoa is the 2nd largest export earner in Nigeria. Cocoa prices are at near record highs in the world market today and yet nobody talks about cocoa, it's hardly in the news. Why? Because it's now PRIVATE, government is not much involved. There's little scope for corruption. The cocoa sector was the first to be privatized and deregulated by IBB under SAP. Yoruba people hate IBB but they've been quietly getting rich on his SAP reforms of cocoa.
Good Luck to Nigeria
