All it needs is for some people who wants the post and who sees him as "influential" to go and sell some wack idea to him about how him getting interested and how him supporting them with the influence they think he has will benefit him.

How can Rivers governor who is not an Igbo nominate leaders for the Igbo nation ? What you said about governors nominating ohaneze presidents is true but in this case, Fubara who is not an igbo doesn't have such privilage , Wike knows that and that is why he is trying to fill the gab but he is just wasting his time because ohaneze are political feather weights in Igbo land.
