She begged people for money to buy food. A member who later told us what happened between him and Adamma24 said he wanted to transfer #5,000 to Adamma24 but he mistakenly transferred #500,000 to her.

He said he contacted Adamma24, but she refused to return his money.

There is no way the boy has not grown up seeing his father 'guardroom' people with no consequences. No way he has not been in multiple instances where his father's name was invoked and the matter died. He is still lucky he pulled this shit in a state with no real domestic violence agency.

My daughter does taekwondo lessons and has a green or blue belt as of now. However I do not think she has a killer instinct per se. I do not know what her response will be in a fight or flight situation. Most importantly, and this is the issue I stress - you want to avoid getting yourself in fight or flight situations where everything comes down to your feral instincts.

In 2013 a gang of youth robbers came into my close. They were eight in number and had gone through at least 6 houses before they came to my house. Two of them came through the balcony upstairs. They smashed the glass. I came out and faced them, got hit in the head with a machete and then ran over the broken glass and knocked them over the balcony.

I prevailed in the encounter, but the very first thing in my mind when I faced them was the multiple bad decisions that had led to that moment. This was in September 2013. The crime spree started in January with boys sneaking into people's unlocked bqs to steal phones and then it slowly escalated. At different times I planned to deploy some additional home security measures but kept putting it off.

I will always insist that the car is in working condition and get very angry with my mechanic when he does a poorly done fix. Because if your car breaks down in some parts of Lagos it can escalate from a vehicle breakdown to a fight for your life.

So the first step is to avoid getting in dangerous situations. It can be as simple as making a decision to pay higher rent and live in detached compound.

Can you image this nuisance in the community. At 15 me and my pairs, were still bathing outside until neighbors with daughters started screaming at us to use the bathroom. We didn't even know why but we took the advice when we sighted too many stares. Kids of this days are something else.
