By other countries you mean few countries. Like about 15 or so. Cuz if you are talking other 195 countries. You really don't have a clue how similar they are to us. People don't get are difficult it is to make things work. Try for a start to make yourself work

A lot of countries are doing better, normally 9ja is far better than those countries our youths Japa to.
If we can get a good leader, everything will align well.
We should learn to reward those trying their best to make things work.
I agree with you that we need to make things work, but the problem is that those in leadership positions don't believe in that idea.
Let's get our leadership selection right and things will work well.
Nigeria is just too great to be in this messed up situation.
Imagine youths Japaing to countries that on a normal day have no level.
Tribalism, hatred, bigotry and religious fanaticism won't make any country great.
The unfortunate thing is that a lot of people let themselves to be manipulated by politicians.
To make the country great is very simple, but our mindset need to change.

Its not about Washing toilets. Its about the serene life there. Good roads, light, housing, education, health, innovation, government grants/supports, security. I know these things may not be perfect there. But if you compare it with Nigeria own, you will know that abroad is far above us!
Justdare:
Dignity means nothing to them as long as their oyibo masters feed them their daily rations of GMO. How can a reasonable person justify travelling thousands of miles to wash toilet?

As a rich man living in the midst of poor, broke, depress people, do you think you the rich is safe! You cant be sane in the midst of insanes. What are my trying to say. if with your wealth and you are living with poverty neighbors, my dear, you are poor also.
maasoap:
A bank manger in Nigeria doesn't pass through what a caregiver abroad passes through everyday.
One is a boss and the other one is a subordinate at the lowest level of hierarchy, that's first.
A caregiver endures all sorts of treatments from the employer and mostly from the patient as we have seen so many times. They put up with a lots of rubbish.
And lastly, as long as you are living comfortably within your income and other benefits as a bank manager, it shouldn't bother you at all if a caregiver abroad is earning far more than you. Dangote is the richest man in Nigeria, yet he still doesn't stop chasing after money which means no matter how much you're making daily, it will never be enough

You left a fictitious fintech app company in Nigeria to become a toilet cleaner in the US.

Yoruba will say - " aye e ti baje", meaning your own has spoilt.

You even typed in one of your responses that you are almost achieving all you set out to do in the US yet according to you, you came to the US in 2023.

These are all the hallmarks of a pathological liar.

I guess you are even in one cave, stealing someone Wifi to access nairaland.
I know you’re pained
A typical Yoruba bigot

Here are my achievements since I came
I state in a 2bedroom 920$ house

I bought my car 2015 Chevy Malibu cash
I got my CDL license
I’m currently in school on cybersecurity analysts fully paid for by Amazon
I’m learning Amazon robotics which I’ll soon finish
I founded a fintech app when I got here and it doing well in Nigeria
Am building my mansion in naija currently and will soon finish cause it in roofing level

Got married here

I achieved all this in the space of one and some month without a skill or certs except my waec result

I know you’re pained because what ever you achieved in the US took you 10-20years to achieve and you’re jealous
Don’t worry I’ll share my pay slip with you when I receive my pay cheque this week from Amazon and ups make your mind de

Evil people like you will be in a better country but lying up and down to prevent people from going to enjoy what you’re enjoy
And the worst part you will glorify Nigeria and it leadership crisis to continue so the country will continue to be as it

That's what I meant when I say the comparison is out of place. A bank manager in Nigeria is living fine and has a thriving career. It's an unbeatable experience which shouldn't be compared to a toilet cleaner in the abroad.

Yes, Nigeria has serious issues, but never should anyone say a toilet cleaner in the abroad lives a better life than a bank manager in Nigeria.

Ah! Let's fear God, please.

yes they can. They have fighter jets, atomic bombs, warships. The outdated ones they sold to us they have have control of the parts. They only need to camp at our seas and blockade us. Last week, I needed 500k only to be told by access bank that they cannot give me more than 50k.

The Nigerian professor who makes more money welding.

Kabir Abu Bilal is not your regular Nigerian university professor - he has a second job working as a welder in the northern city of Zaria.

Welding is widely seen as a menial job across Nigeria and he has shocked many - especially his colleagues - by opening up his own welding workshop.

"I am not ashamed that I work as a welder despite being a professor," he tells the BBC. "I make more money from welding."

The 50-year-old teaches and supervises research students at the faculty of engineering at Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria's largest and one of its most prestigious universities.

Notfogotten:
When we say a toilet cleaner in USA, Canada, UK, Australia is better than the manger of zenith bank, what we mean is that the toilet cleaner will never suffer what you are currently suffering in Nigeria.

Example include:

A. A toilet cleaner will never queue for fuel. And buy it at 1,500-Naira per liter.

B. A toilet cleaner is less likely to be kidnapped in those countries. What’s the percentage of people kidnapped in Nigeria. Though no kidnapping in those countries but people are killed randomly unprovoked and unjustified.

C. A toilet cleaner has 24/7 electricity. But you paid 375,000-Naira per month.

D. A toilet cleaner has access to excellent Medicare. And your medical bill is out of the world plus you will not be qualified for Medicare.

E. A toilet cleaner is less likely exposed to armed robbers, but exposed to random killing by crazy shooters which occurred regularly at restaurants, gas stations, some by armed robbers and some just because they don’t like your face.

F. A toilet cleaner eats better food and fruits than your bank manager. But you pay for it also, and you can eat those foods at a less cost in Nigeria.

G A toilet cleaner has access to good amenities, like what amenities?

H. A toilet cleaner may have his children schooling for free in primary and high school. Yes, but your tax dollars is at work, you pay 25% as federal income tax, in addition you pay state income tax, county tax/levy (to manage the school system), gasoline tax (for every liter of gasoline you purchased), sales tax (7% and up, based on the location), etc.

I. A toilet cleaner has a longer live expectancy than your bank manager in Nigeria. Not necessarily true

HOW OLD ARE YOU?

Rossikk:
Look. One thing you guys need to understand is that OVER THE LONG TERM, Nigeria will eventually get it right.

Nigeria is an unstoppable train.

I asked AI (ChatGPT)

''TELL ME ABOUT NIGERIA IN THE YEAR 2075''

It's response:

........................

In 2075, Nigeria is a dynamic and influential powerhouse in Africa and globally, shaped by its rich history, vast resources, and resilience. The nation has undergone significant transformations, leveraging its demographic advantage, technological advancements, and natural resources to redefine its role on the world stage.

Population and Demographics
With a population that has surpassed 400 million, Nigeria remains the most populous nation in Africa. The population is youthful but has also aged since the mid-21st century, with life expectancy rising due to improved healthcare. The country's population is diverse, with over 500 ethnic groups, though urbanization has led to a blending of cultures in megacities like Lagos, Abuja, and Kano. Nigeria's urban population exceeds 75%, with sprawling cities that are hubs of innovation, culture, and commerce.

Economy and Infrastructure

Nigeria's economy in 2075 is highly diversified, moving beyond its historical reliance on oil. The country has become a leader in renewable energy, particularly solar power, given its geographical advantages. Advances in agriculture, driven by technology and sustainable practices, have made Nigeria a key player in global food security. The manufacturing sector, supported by automation and AI, is robust, producing everything from advanced electronics to green technologies.

Transportation infrastructure is futuristic, with high-speed rail networks connecting major cities, and autonomous electric vehicles dominating the roads. Lagos, often called the "Silicon Lagoon," rivals global tech hubs like Silicon Valley and Shenzhen, with a thriving ecosystem of startups and tech giants.

Governance and Society

Politically, Nigeria is more stable, having navigated through decades of democratic consolidation. Governance is enhanced by digital transparency, reducing corruption, and fostering greater citizen participation. The political landscape is marked by a strong federal structure, where states have significant autonomy, allowing for tailored approaches to development across the diverse regions.

Socially, the country has made strides in education and gender equality, with women holding significant positions in government, business, and academia. However, challenges remain, particularly in managing the socio-economic disparities that still exist, though these are less pronounced than in the past.

Technology and Innovation

Nigeria is at the forefront of technological innovation in Africa. The country has made significant investments in AI, biotechnology, and space exploration. Nigerian tech companies are global players, and the nation's space agency has launched satellites that contribute to global communications and environmental monitoring.

Education in Nigeria has transformed, with a focus on STEM fields, and universities in Nigeria are renowned for their research in medicine, engineering, and environmental sciences. Virtual reality and AI have become integral parts of education, making learning more accessible and tailored to individual needs.

Environment and Sustainability

Nigeria has taken bold steps to address the environmental challenges posed by climate change. The Niger Delta, once plagued by oil spills, has been rehabilitated, and the country has implemented widespread reforestation projects to combat desertification in the north. Nigeria's commitment to green energy and sustainable practices has positioned it as a leader in global environmental initiatives.

Water management and climate adaptation strategies have been crucial in ensuring that the growing population has access to clean water and can withstand the impacts of climate change, such as more frequent and intense droughts or floods.

Culture and Global Influence

Culturally, Nigeria continues to be a global trendsetter. Nollywood, the Nigerian film industry, is not only the largest in Africa but one of the most influential globally, shaping narratives and entertainment across continents. Nigerian music, fashion, and literature remain central to global pop culture.

On the global stage, Nigeria plays a key role in international diplomacy, trade, and security. It is a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, reflecting its importance in global geopolitics. Nigeria's voice is crucial in addressing issues such as global inequality, climate change, and digital governance.

In summary, Nigeria in 2075 is a vibrant, forward-looking nation that has successfully harnessed its potential, overcoming challenges to become a beacon of progress in Africa and a major player on the world stage.

Your pay check is in pounds, it cannot afford you the quality of life a bank manager gets in Naira!

The argument is baseless. A bank manager in Nigeria lives a better and more quality life. The country might be in bad shape, but some people are living their dreams in it.

Absolutely nothing you can afford in the western world that they cannot afford, and it’s cash down. No credit cards, mortgage or car loans.

But sorry a toilet cleaner wont be able to afford a home.

Even if he takes a mortgage it will take him like 35yrs.
Most people in Western countries buy their home on mortgage, for some people it is a lot better for their cash flow, paying $1350 or £900 per month is better than forking out over $600,000 or £400,000 at once. Even if they have the money to buy a house by paying full cash, so many prefer to take a mortgage and invest the money in an investment that earns a higher rate of interest than the mortgage interest rate. Mark Zuckerburg bought his house on mortgage - let that sink in... the mortgage rate is so low in USA, that he prefers paying the monthly mortgage payments and investing his cash in investments that have a higher return than the mortgage rate.

Now let me ask you! How many bedroom do you occupy with your pay check?

Are your kids going to a private schools?

Do have the financial strength to enroll in a private hospital in the UK?
