Effective from Tuesday 03 September 2024, the world’s biggest single-train refinery in Lekki, Nigeria, has begun its first shipment of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) aka petrol or gasoline. The 650,000 barrels per day Dangote Refinery has now successfully completed testing and is ready to pump its products into the local market. This is expected to bring relief to Nigerians who have been facing serious scarcity of gasoline across the country. Officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited are already on standby at the plant to take delivery of the first petrol shipment, and it will be available at fuel stations from Thursday 05 September 2024.
