NNPC have too, the truth is Dangote seems to be playing to some oil cabals tunes in order to avoid been frustrated out of business.

It is actually not allowed by law in Nigeria for upstream companies to get involved in downstream operations like petrol retailing.

I don’t think forward integration should be Dangote’s priority for now. Nigeria is so big he can’t possibly offer retail services all over the country. Beside, NNPC and other Independent marketers won’t even allow that. He can be a small player through MRS but that’s all.

His priority for now should be backward integration in order to secure the source of his raw material. He should be making attempt to venture into crude oil production or buy out the stake of some IOCs in the country. He can also do JV with NNPC and other OML/OPL license holders. That’s a better way to secure the continued existence of his refinery.

double Ignoramus. And Danata is who to Dangote? Are you aware Dangote is a member of the Danata family? In 2009, the Dantatas bought Texaco in collaboration with Chevron. BAT owns Oando through Wale Tinubu but Dangote cannot own MRS through Sarriyu Dantata. 😂
