I know Nigerians better than you know yourself.

I was around just when Shoprite wanted to come to Nigeria with all these shopping malls.

Majority of people ON THIS FORUM were telling them it was a waste of money, because the average Nigerian lived on ''less than a dollar a day'' and only rich politicians would be able to afford to shop in such places.

Today, what is the story?

Even villages now are getting Shoprite.

Demand is so high.

So I've learnt to ignore Nigerians.

They don't know anything.
Is shoprite still in nigeria?

What if I told you I am one of those people that never shopped in shop rite, am I majority?. Some people said, is not majority.

This is how politicians loot and get away with so much impunity in Nigeria, when the country is full of retarded morons like the poster below.

Nuclear reactors, since 1970?? Lol...hallucination!!. Pls post the source and lets see.

Anyone reading this will think that she meant nuclear reactor power plants not knowing that it is one small wooden box kept in one corner of a physics laboratory in ABU named NIRR-1. It is what was left after a joint research project with China Institute of Atomic Research and in 2018, after they finished the research studies, China took away all the critical elements of the research, leaving only near empty boxes and irrelvelant components. The Nigerian government, in their characteristic stupidity, set up a whole agency/parastatsl full of people who collect salaries(same as the Nigerian space and satellite Agency in Abuja) doing nothing other than look after empty wooden crates or boxes that China had taken the main components away since Dec 2018.

I'm sure the buffon either works there or has someone who just sits idle there collecting salaries on behalf of the policticians and she is so daft to publicly exhibit her lack of intelligence on what she knew very little about thinking everyone on nairaland is a dimwit like them or in their circle. She miscalculated on this.

Nigeria will never....i repeat, NEVER get out of these problems with daft and half educated morons like the poster below, as citizens.
🙄😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅🤗

Not fair to Nippon man.
Remember there was a tsunami and very violent tidal wave , in all fairness it overwhelmed all faill safes , because sometimes no matter how hard you try , you just can't predict and plan against nature .
But I get your drift.

Meanwhile those niggers just went on a squandering jamboree , smash Chinko pumpum , amd sell us out by signing documents in a language they can't read or understand .
And then come back home to be hailed as heros by BMC brainless N22k bots.

Yahweh please get me out of this failed state

Re: Nigeria, China Sign Nuclear Energy Pact by KingRabota: 9:24am On Sep 04, 2024
Oga stop insults
The man knows what he's talking about
ABU NIRR was dismantled years ago , and it was NEVER a full nuclear power reactor.
It was a processing plant for producing NUCLEAR ISOTOPES, for medical industrial and agricultural services.

This country won't develop by propaganda.

YOU should show us the evidence that there is nothing there in Kaduna but 'empty boxes'.

Nigerians are right to be skeptical about any project. Ajaokuta is a prime example.

But to brutalize optimism viciously is a recipe for staying on our butts forever. Iran is a Nuclear Power today. China starved their people to death to become Nuclear Power.

North Korea is following China steps. If Gadhafi had not been euphoric enough to believe alternate Nuclear promise from the West and foolishly betrayed Pakistan, Libya could have become a Nuclear Power today.

South Africa was a Nuclear Power until Mandela assumed Power. You get it?

Stop attacking one another but continue to be skeptical. Not totally pessimistic. We have to start from somewhere, even hypothesis and theories.

China, Russia and Iran worked hard on stolen nuclear secretes. Nigerians want readymade like everything else. Blame our lack of maintenance mentality and ONE goal through pursuit of only pretty printed paper: MONEY!
Re: Nigeria, China Sign Nuclear Energy Pact by michoim(m): 1:17pm On Sep 04, 2024
Tinubu should ensure that nuclear plant is built in his village first...for crying out loud, Nigeria is not a discipline nation to have nuclear plant. We don't even have a simple maintenance culture, talk more of handling nuclear plant

Lagos can handle fire outbreak efficiently .
^^^
You'll have to do better than that. I can't just take your word for it.

Several years ago, I found out that the design brief/template for a well known European capital city requires that fire engines must be able to reach the scene of a fire outbreak (anywhere within the metropolis) in 3 minutes. No ifs, no buts. Does Lagos have such requirements - and are they enforced?

HydraFeeds:
Lagos is a site for great projects like thermal stations and refinery and since Lagos has a lot of resources,it can handle nuclear reactors as well .
^^^
No!

You don't build a nuclear reactor in a place just because it "has a lot of resources". undecided That's not how it works.

I have nothing but massive respect for the Japanese. Massive respect! Visiting that country is on my to do list.

My point was that if the Japanese (with their well earned reputation for doing things in a certain manner) nuclear safety plans couldn't withstand nature's fury - then Nigeria shouldn't even dream of going there.

I'm telling you that the ones available are efficient. Wether it can reach everywhere within the state in 3 mins is another argument.

Moreover ,all standard facilities like nuclear reactors have personal fire services and my point is that if the available fire services is efficient there's no reason why it won't be replicated independently for such gigantic project .

In as much as resources can be sourced from anywhere in the country , proximity to project location is very important and in this country called Nigeria, there's no other states that's more resourceful than Lagos except in landmass resources.
