WHY DANGOTE FUEL IS WHITE

Reason why the pms Is pure like water. Petrol has different colors, When it's Red that means Octane was added. When it's slightly Green then Octane is slightly very much. When is Yellow it means it has no lead in it. That means it's unleaded. But when it's clear as water as seen in the video then you should know that ethanol was used . What ethanol does is that it improves engine efficiency and power. Because ethanol has a good amount of oxygen it lessens the amount of carbonation in engines there by reducing air pollution which comes as Carbon dioxide. So this is the best form of Petrol. Congratulations Dangote .

Octane number varies
We have regular(lowest octane number 87)
Mid grade which is middle range octane fuel 89-90
Premium which is highest range octane 91 -94.
In late 70 and early 80s, we used to have different pms unlike today. Premium, midgrade and lowest range.
The same still applicable in USA and other western countries today.
Their prices are different.
Unleaded pms is pure white as the Op mentioned

Without doing a proper verification,I can almost bet,the Op's submission would later be proven to be a typical ill-informed take on the issue.
So he is saying,Dangote just for the Nigerian market,because he so much loves Nigerians,decided to bear an extra cost,by adding ethanol,which isn't cheap,to it's petrol,to improve it's efficiency?

All in the name of stupid politics they claim to know everything. Let's know how dangote gets the ethanol he uses and leaves the easier to source aromatic complexes that will still yield high octane quality

With ethanol and the heat in Nigeria, 25 liters of petrol will evaporate to 15 litres in 5hrs under traffic. What is there to congratulate?

Just looking at the colourless "water-like" PMS from Dangote should tell one that it will burn cleaner - very good for both the Engine and most importantly the Environment!

For this I totally "endorse" Dangote PMS.

Octane only dtermines grades of the pms
Lowest
Midgrade
And premium.
The lab test can only tell you the grade not just by mere colour

In the 80s , u state clearly which grade are you buying, premium, midgrade or regukar (lowest).
To the best if my knowledge the same still obtainable in US and UK.
The function of our regulatory body is to determine grades DPR in particular, i dont know which name they are called now.
DRP takes sample to their lab to determine octane number of priducts
The same goes to diesel to know the density
But the system has been bastardised.
