The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Monday Okpebholo, yesterday, said he will continue from where Adams Oshiomhole stopped in developing Edo State if he is elected governor.

He spoke during the party ward to ward campaign in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State, assuring to right all the wrongs of the Obaseki- led government since 2016.

“God with us, make me Governor. I will continue working from where my leader, former governor Adams Oshiomhole, stopped”, he said.

Okpebholo, while also campaigning at Okada, promised to bring development closer to the grassroots people and ensure they have good schools and amenities to live a good life.

“Okada people will not regret voting for me as I will make sure all the schools, heath centres have qualified personnel to man them.” Besides, he assured them of the dividends of democracy and to ensure the development of the state if elected.

On his part, the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Dennis Idahosa, told the people of Ovia to appreciate APC for giving the Deputy governorship ticket to their son, just as he urged them to vote APC 100 percent.

He promised that “Late Captain Hosa Okunbo’s land that was taken by Obaseki will be revoked and returned to the owner. Obaseki believes he can use the Vigilante to intimidate us; we are waiting and ready for this election, and the rule of law will be followed.

“Anyone of you intimidated by Obaseki and his Commissioner should let me know; I will take them up. Never again will Lagos man come and rule us”, he stated.

Also speaking, a former Commissioner in the state, Orobosa Omo -Ojo, urged members that recently joined the APC in the local government that they will not be regarded as second fiddle.

Similarly, former House of Representatives member and daughter of the Esama of Benin, Omosede Igbinedion, told Okada people and the Yoruba community to vote APC on September 21.

“I am now with my brother Dennis Idahosa in APC, so make sure you vote APC on September 21 to deliver Okpebholo as governor”, she said.

We all know what progress Edo witnessed under Oshomole compare to under Obaseeki that even you is supporter can not point to a single project he commissioned in 8 years.

For clarity I know I am lying so just go ahead n post that singular project Obaseki accomplished in 8 years or to shut me up till eternity post 2 legacy project of Obaseki 8 years. Even now Edolites don de wish say make Edo be Lagos 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Oshiobaba did excellently well in our state. Infrastructure, Education, Amenities, Transportation, etc.. Since he left, sadly Edo has never been same.

Schools also! He modernised the buildings!

I have said this countless number of times that Obaseki is a monumental and collosal failure.
He is just hiding under the guise of Tinubu hasn't performed to woo voters for his candidate, meanwhile he hasn't done anything for his people.
