You’re delusional! And this is the consequence of your misplaced sense of ethnic superiority and arrogance!

So if asked, you’ll proudly puff out your chest and declare that the success and preeminence of Lagos ports over and above those in Delta, Rivers and Cross-River states owes to the ‘south-west economy and the ‘sophistication’ of the Yoruba’!?

What’s giving you the temerity to arrogate economic dominance over others and foist your criminals over the rest of the country, is your belief that Nigeria and its warped political-economy will be sustained! If you lot are so confident in your economic abilities, one wonders why you still cling on to the failed experiment that is ‘one Nigeria’ like your life depends on it!
Relax mr Man you are the one that's obviously misinterpreting my comment, i didn't claim any economic dominance or Yoruba sophistication or whatever you added to it, i just stated the fact that Lagos port performance is also largely due to South west economy. I stated that because many Igbo attributed Lagos's ports success to themselves as if there's no Yoruba or south west contribution , they have forgotten that Lagos's ports has been performing well long before any Igbo step foot in Lagos state or before the existence of Nigeria if they are good students of history.

If your entire trube wail to death over the success of Lagos port it won't change a thing. If all your tribe stop using Lagos port your hate filled father will be surprised the port income will triple.

Everything doesn't revolve around you, if any products are ban at Onne it doesn't mean it's because of any stupid tribalism.

Same way pharmaceutical products and other goods was banned at Tin can port, Nigeria import a lot of things. Did they also ban cars, office supplies, phone gadgets and accessories, car parts, clothes etc at Onne ports ? why aren't they using Onne port for it and make Onne port outperform Lagos in all those first ?

Same way you guys were chest beating with how Anambra Airport and how it is going to surpass Lagos Airport within a year , today it is among the Airport that's still not generating any revenue for FG.

It seem to me you guys will stick to any pathetic excuse to hide the obvious fact that Lagos ports can't be beat because it is power by South West economy, the port has been flourishing before any Igbo came to Lagos state. Igbo are not the one that make south west port what it is, so you also don't have the power to limit its growth or stop it.
You are still throwing tribalism everywhere...

Firstly Lagos port has its advantage, secondly the FG should have created the same advantage for other ports as they did for Lagos ports...

Just tell FG to shut down Lagos ports to make you guys happy

So it was also the FG that made Lagos ports to outperformed other ports during the pre colonial and colonial era too ?

Onne is fully functional

A port thats viable enough to be used to smuggle arms into the country, then it can be used to move in pharmaceutical products and those your socalled heavy containers

You get the memo,right?

No excuses. Onne is closer to you than the Lagos port
You guys really need to stop this bigotry. Honestly.
When you say "closer to them" does it occur to you that Lag remains the economic nerve centre of this country and thus the destination of most of the imported goods in the first place?

But beyond that, just remove this thing from your minds abeg, its sickening for many of us to hear and watch every day. Yoruba this Igbo that. Grow up please. See beyond your nose.

This is cringeworthy. The Lagos port is the main port of Nigeria and it flourishes for that reason. It is not powered by "the south-west economy" - neither is it powered by Igbos. It is powered by Nigeria.

No, there is what is called equity, and that is part of the reason why there is a government, to ensure equity and justice, if the government is failing to deliver that then the government has failed no matter the number of infrastructures they build and sadly that is what is happening in Nigeria...

Of course Lagos have a lot of advantages why it is more productive, things can never be equal in life it is delusional to expect things to be equal. Even Nature or god is not making things equal, some humans have it better than others, same as some Animals have it better than others, it is delusional to expect things to be equal.

In life you work on the advantages you have and gain more advantages, it is not Lagos ports fault that it has less risks and better infrastructures, our colonial masters chose it for some reasons that was one of the advantages it have and south west leaders invested more on it during the Cocoa boom in south west. The question you should be asking is why are they not investing in the port and giving it priorities ? even when their son GEJ was president or even during regional government when they had more control ? is it Lagos ports fault that the people in the area are more prone to being pirates that hijack ship thereby increasing the risk of using port in the area ?

Even if you do all that there's no guarantee that you will beat Lagos ports because south west people are also contributing heavily to the ports and won't relent, just like the recently built Lekki port because we know the benefit to our economy in Lagos. The question is why you want to beat Lagos and have problem with its development ? everyone can develop at their own pace.

And i am telling you that since the Dawn of time things can never be equal, even nature and god are not making things equal.

You work on the advantages you have and gain more advantages.

Even if Eastern port matches Lagos's ports infrastructure, what about Lagos security ? even after that what about Lagos economy and output ?

When will they have a port on the same level as Lekki's port ? or will they clamour for FG to build it because you want to beat Lagos ?

Lagos already gained the Advantage in Ports aspect and they still have that much advantages because they are continuously working on it so things can never be equal unless you bomb Lagos state.

When the competition started leaders in the East and South South didn't bother about all that so Lagos already leading with a big margin. It is like telling your opponent in a race to stop down so you can match him and overtake him, it is not possible.
