Japan,South Korea and Taiwan give such much subsidies to their farmers more than any nation on earth.

Therefore,it is not subsidy that has impeded our growth but corruption and mismanagement of resources.

We don’t really care if you vote for Tinubu. Nobody coming after him will reintroduce fuel subsidies or unfloat the Naira because they know it is for the good of the country.

These are 2 of the 3 things that have stunted our growth for decades. The 3rd is resource control and fiscal autonomy. I hope he is able to acheive that.

Like it or not Tinubu has done Nigeria a great favour but people with low IQ and understanding will not understand.

The job of a good leader is not to make you like him but to do what is right for the country and to make sure his reforms are permanent. This Tinubu has already done. If he leaves office tommorow morning, when his Tory is written in 10-20yrs time historians will point to the removal of subsidy and floating of the exchange rate as the point Nigerias fortunes changed for the better.

Saudi produces 9m barrels a day, its population is 34m

Libya produces 1.1m barrels a day, its population is 7m

Nigeria currently produces 1.4m barrels a day its population is 220m and counting!

Yet you want the same subsidies? It is easier to provide subsidies to 7m or 34 m people than it is to provide subsidies to 220m! Your population is 7x Saudi but your income is only 1/10th and you are talking of subsidies? Start by having less children, maybe the little we have can go round.

But isn’t that what democracy is all about?

Majority will have their way ( whether the majority was derived through rigging or not).

This is why I think democracy can never work for us in Nigeria.
