Sure, the facilities are generally of a higher standard, but the inmates in some US prisons are . There are some US prisons that will match (or exceed) the worst that the Nigerian prison system has to offer, particularly for these two young men of average height and build. Your fighting skills have to be top level to survive in those jails.

Such a waste of young lives all round.

Unfortunately it's not first or second degree murder, I think that's the highest sentence the charge carry. I also feel cyberbullying to the point of death of the victim should carry a life sentence, I hope the law is reviewed soon.

The idea that blackmail can lead to suicide is a concept that Nigerians can & will never understand. 'I will kill myself' is a threat many Nigerians take for granted, because they can’t comprehend why any normal person wud want to end their life for any reason whatsoever! Aside the fact that they’re quite mouthy & masters at saying things they don’t mean, they naively expect others to be like them in that regard. Reason why the boy said he’d kill himself, & these ones didn’t think he meant it!
