No no no, you wrong. You are talking about 2 different things.

Jakande tried to build a monorai, after construction started around Yaba, the FG led by Buhari terminated the project, it was a monorail project and it has nothing to do with the Lagos state master plan.

Tinubu created what we now know called the Lagos State master plan.

The master plan started with the Lagos State Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (LASEEDS) under the leadership of Tinubu.

The LASEEDS was a 10 point agenda document land later became the precursor to the Lagos State Development Master Plan (LSDP) that originated from the Lagos Economic forum aka Ehin Igbeti economic forum back in 2002.

Tinubu is the architect of the Lagos state master plan and folks like the same Sanwo Olu were present when the master plan was created.
Architect of Lagos State master plan are you kidding me. A state that was formed in 1967 and Tinubu that came in 1999 is the architect. You are really smoking grass walahi.

Congratulations.

Our past and current leaders really failed this country. Imagine what Lagos State is celebrating in 2024.

We are still traveling to far away China to look for their engineers to build us infrastructure like train. What is happening to us as a country. When are we going to be able to do anything for ourselves that other Africa countries will be hiring us for projects like this.

I still give kudos but seriously not impressed.
there is nothing bad in doing so.
Ad a mater of Fact, Prophet Muhammad o er 1400 years ago said, Seek for knowledge if it is as far as China.
If you don't know, ask.
Check the comment, so.e are saying their state governors to come learn from Lagos.
Remember Alex Oti invited Fashola(Bola Tinubu's student) to lecture them on good governance, and at least he is trying his best with the shared knowledge

It seems Sanwo Olu and Seyi Makinde are both the performing governors will have in Nigeria. What are other governors during with their resources especially that Eleyi of Ogun state. Wasted people that always cry every month to the FG.
Seyi and Abiodun are disasters, most especially Dapo ABIODUN who can't use the proximity of ogun state to Lagos for connections and infrastructure

Like they did for those that stole irons from the New Niger Bridge 2. If you have a ton of thieves that love to steal, do you think its a good idea to test the waters. Even Gov of Cross River Ayade said they stopped Solar Lights because they were stealing the solar and the metal stand. They stopped waste system because they were stealing and converting the drums for private use...if tons of people are doing it, insanity will be doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Ebubu:
The NW has railway through Kaduna yet its ridden with bandits.

FG is currently building railway to Maiduguri home of boko haram.

Catch the thieves and deal with them, others will learn a lesson.

Next are the Purple line and the Yellow lines.

These are the kinds of projects sovereign nations executes, but the smallest state, ordinary state in Nigeria is dropping them one by one with ease.

Lagos is really blessed with good leaders.

With good, competent and dedicated leadership, nothing is impossible..

Anambra state doesn't even have a rail from Nnewi to Onitsha to Awka.

Enugu doesn't have railway from Nsukka to Enugu capital.

Ebonyi have started building intra-state rail.

The SE minus Ebonyi is retrogressing.
Enjoy ur rail line and leave them alone. They are not complaining. But ur ppl with all the infrastructures are complaining of unbearable hardship, some are even regretting voting ur slave master.

They do all the time.

Why do you shout marginalization and the SE is not2 developed because of lack of infrastructure , seaport and so on?

A lot of States like Lagos are building their own seaports and so on, but not the SE, the FG must do everything for the SE.

They don't have a seaport in kaduna, but they generate more money and deliver more infrastructures than the SE.

During the reign of jakande of the blessed memory, he had intention of doing metro train for just 12 million, but wouldn't because of lack of focus. We thank God that never the less,we the new generations will get there.

What was in their master plan? It was nothing but the usual budget and planning ideas we see all over Nigeria, nothing more.

The masterplan plan Tinubu and his disciples drafted created new agencies to drive their master plan from the same LAMATA that's now responsible for the massive transportation networks like the BRT, Waterways transportation, and metro rails, including how to generate funds to drive the growth.

The Lekki free trade zone which is now the most industrialized axis in Nigeria with the largest single train refinery in the world, and largest fertilizer and petrochemical plant in Africa was championed and part of Tinubu's master plan and he not only drew the plan, but he also flew to China in 2006 to fight for and actualize the plan.

Even sef, what part of Mobolaji Johnson or Jakande's plan created any of the developments on the ground since 1999?

Was Lagos not dirty, trashy, and almost ungovernable before 1999?

If you will argue, come up with real facts, not low-grade talk and argument with zero facts.

It's time Nigerians especially Niger Deltans consistently call out Rivers and Delta state governors. These are d two states with potentials to at least compete with Lagos even from behind cos of the allocations they get and IGR. But Fabura went into an unnecessary political fight that has grounded dev in his state, d man has zero emotional intelligence, he would have used projects to silence Wike in his first term and assert independence subsequently. A rail line signature project from PH to Onne or wherever would had set d tone.

Delta is perhaps d greatest embarrassment of them all. The state enjoys political stability like no other state in Nigeria but that stability has been turned to grave yard development. Delta is just silent. Yet a signature rail line from Asaba to Warri thru Ughelli or wherever would give d state d back bone, d terrain is not too swampy but no one even thinks in that direction, d citizens are mainly civil servants who go to work by 10 and close by 2pm, their stock in trade is to insult d FG, no one dare call Gov Sherrif to remind him to perform as gov. Delta has perhaps d most politically benign citizens in Nigeria. Their state govt does zero yet lavish so much wealth in their presence yet they don't speak out against him, they wait for month end, collect their salary and go and insult Buhari (Tinubu) for the kekes that is d mode of transport instaed of mass transit buses and d drainage that are blocked with single use plastics that d Commissioner of Environmental doesn't give a damn about

Oga can you show me how Lagos has benefitted in terms of USD with these projects? You guys are the most stupid people i have ever seen er square meter. Project that the state and it's people have not benefitted even up till now. if Dangote had not opened up on the $100m paid for the land for the refinery, no one would even know. These people have used SPV to fleece the state and you are here talking rubbish. is Lagos not even dirty compared to other cities of its same class in Africa.

When you invest $20 billion in any environment, it's basic and economic sense that a good chunk of that money circulates through the local economy in the form of almost 40,000 thousand workers collecting salaries, buying food, paying for accommodation, entertainment and other sociocultural service, accountants, lawyers, advertisers, engineers, vendors, and so on are also getting paid and put food on the table, pay school fees and rent.

On top of that, the state collects hude IGR from Dangote, his products and his workers.

Transporters collect paychecks and pay taxes, factories using the raw materials pay taxes, and their workers, the list is endless.

This is pretty much basic economics, sad that we still have to explain this to you like a lid.

Go and ask the thousands of Dangote workers and indirect jobbers collecting paychecks and putting food on the table.

You are not making sense, some of you are just eternal sadists.

Fubara and Wike are both foolish and irresponsible, Wike inherited a working monorail, but he abandoned the project and tossed the $300 million already spent inside trash.

Imagine Sanwo Olu abandoning and trashing the Blue Line because he hates Fashola and Ambode. This is the crazy mentality we see in other states, but never in Lagos state.

In Lagos state, they have groups like Governor's Advisory Council (GAC), they are the real kingmakers, even more powerful than Tinubu and one foolish move by any governor like abandoning projects or sabotaging the Lagos master plan means quick exit from Alausa, ask Ambode.

Eko o ni baje is not just a slogan, it's a call to duty and to perform and their leaders are always trying to outperform their predecessors.

Delta State is a basket case and they are yet to recover from Ibori who is still firmly in charge of Delta State. Delta is about the second or third most indebted state in Nigeria, sadly, nothing to show for their huge debt and massive allocations and Delta is not even up to Lagos State's population, they are just around 5 million people with massive funds to work with.

Delta is irredeemable.
