Sheikh Bashar Danfili, a renowned cleric in Sokoto state, has sought financial assistance from the general public after bandits kidnapped six of his relatives on their way to an undisclosed village in the state.

In a short video posted on social media platforms, the cleric said the victims include a man, his mother, stepmother, two wives and sister.

He said the bandits had demanded huge amount of money which they could not raise, adding that the deadline was fast approaching.

Danfili said: “The bandits have kidnapped my close relatives. I don’t want to disclose their names.

“They were on their way to a village when they were attacked and kidnapped.

“Their driver was killed on the spot and the bandits fed their dogs with his flesh.

“But the rest are still in captivity, including a husband, his mother, stepmother, two wives and his sister.

“The bandits have demanded a huge amount of money, which runs into millions of Naira. We cannot raise it.

“I am a scholar, I don’t have anything. My job is only to teach people with the books that you can see behind me.

“And they gave us deadline within which the money must be paid or they would kill all of them.

“I know they can do that, looking at what happened recently to a traditional ruler in the state, who was killed by his abductors.

“Therefore, I am pleading for help from the general public so that we can be able to pay the ransom and get them released.”

If you have lived in the north in the 90s and early 2000s, you would have known that these things that are happening today, were inevitable. For whatever reason, the north intentionally criminalised education. You will get to the road and see dozens of small children in their thousands, clutching dirty bowels begging for food. I mean, how do you allow your own child to eat from the same place with streets dogs? How do you not know that without any education and training, they're bound to be criminals and most importantly, how do you allow any religion or preacher to convince you that subjecting your own son to such beastial treatment is the surest path to heavens? I remember when Babangida Aliyu said that almajiri is their tradition and that no one should get involved. That was when they were fighting Jonathan. We are dealing with the consequences of that evil tradition, because all these terrorist groups recruit from the alamajiri hordes..

This is why nobody takes any of you seriously in your Region. The fact that you thought YOUR REGION ALONE can foist a Presidential Candidate on Nigeria shows how dumb & daft you all are.

2027 is just around the corner and the Political Gladiators are banking on you to repeat that stupid mistake.

Don’t go and learn how to build bridges, continue insulting & bullying everybody from other Regions and you will keep getting the same futile results.

The educated Northern individuals are more vicious and violent than the illiterate. We school with them in the north. During student union government election,they don't mind killing you if you are a Christian or any religion. Their leaders plus professor will look other way. But they wan to go to US AND UK filled by infidels.
