Its business not callousness. They are even good people to agree to treat the daughter without complete payment like some others. Hope when you have have a business you can service customers without any payment and still stay in business.
This your business model without any touch humanity don't make sense. Kindness is a moral question, if they wanted to be kind they should show kindness to the letter for it to make sense and not half way, the man is not asking to take the corpse...he only wants to see his daughter's body...he also hasn't said he won't pay...so why will they not atleast allow him even 15-20minutes in the morgue....its wicked and should not be encouraged at all!!

Nigeria fit make person craze. A white woman spent a week in Nigeria and she said naija was the next thing to hellfire cheesy
Because we over the years have refused to be gentle, forgiving and merciful to ourselves.

We will be gentle, forgiven and merciful to whites, Arabs, Chinese or any other races instantly. But they will be merciless to us .

However, let another black person really need mercy, we put on the stone personality.

Without mercy and gentility ( it's not a weakling trait , if used wisely) , no nation becomes civilised and prosperous .

God is useless clearly.

You all can see the effects of Buhari destroying the overall dreams of Prof. Lambo ( who instituted the NHIS under Obasanjo)?

Prof.Lambo wanted all Nigerians to eventually be under NHIS, but for kickoff, federal government employees.

Buhari's tenure destroyed it through embezzlement, nepotism and corruption. Infact, if only SW Nigeria had implemented NHIS for the region ( I don't know why the governors in SW are not thinking towards that); health burdens would had reduced drastically.

Imagine if everyone in the SW paid ₦1-2000 / month to NHIS, everyone cannot be sick at same time. But a bulk money running into billions , would have been available in a collective fund, to treat ppl, especially women & children.

If we don't divorce health care from the white western European model of treating health as a capitalist concern, instead of providing services for at least the least earnings persons in a country ( just like some black Carribbean countries do , unlike ' almighty amerikkka'); Nigeria will always be hell-on- earth.

Why worry himself? The dead has died see her wouldn't bring her back. Just leave the dead body for the hospital to keep until they gets tired of keeping the body.

There is no way in hell i would be wasting money on a dead member of my family if they die, money that i could use to buy good bottle of wines, go on holiday, smoke some good weed and fork beautiful Russian prostitutes.

The dead never comes back, when people die they become irrelevant. So why waste money on them? Use the money to take care of the living and enjoy life!

It is business! He should just pay the money he is owing.

Why is he even bothering himself? He should just leave the dead body for the hospital when they are tired they d release the body.

I have known this hospital for this ungodly act. They kill patients and seize the corpse till the astronomic bill given the the victims families are paid.
They are killers.

The rule is that you must finish paying your debt before carrying the corpse. Nobody should stop u from seeing the body of your loved ones because u are owing.

Doing business does not mean one should have a heart of stone, the man is mourning the loss already, what does it change for the management if the man sees her?

Presently I am suspecting foul play, because it looks like they are hiding something, there is no where in the world you can justify what the hospital is doing, they told you your daughter is dead and you say as her father you just want to see and confirm and they tell you you cannot confirm till you bring money...

It is very suspicious, did they do something to her that they are hiding?

There is nothing here to justify, he is not stealing the body, besides he has paid over half which means he is not running away from the responsibility...

May her should rest in peace and may help locate the man quickly...
The report says she was having 20 day chemotherapy

That indicates cancer. And it was probably serious.

Note that the man does not blame them for negligence. Just wants his child's remains to be buried.

That indicates that the cancer was bad, and he was probably appropriately counselled by the hospital staff that his daughter might not make it even with chemotherapy

Actually NHIS is still covering many Nigerians

Buhari even had the thing expanded via the NHIA act.

The thing is , even under NHIS , it does not mean it pays for everything, you still have to pay something. And not everything is covered

FuckSilly:
cry

Remove the nonsense emotions
Hospitals are established for business purposes as well.
The workers in the hospital have bills to settle as well.
He is not requesting for the corpse to be taken away, just to see.
It's not about business often. There should be empathy and sympathy also.

The father of the dead will bury a closed casket to complete burial formalities for the late lady.

From this report ... this man really needs help ... the help he really needs is to have a good lawyer... I just hope one will step up. This should be not about seeing the body but about cause of death.... a post mortem is a must. Did she really have cancer to diagnose chemotherapy? ... lung cancer?...ovarian cancer? ...what did they diagnose? At 23 it is not normal for one ton have cancer. The chemotherapy treatment ... 20 day treatment?..never heard of such... they will need to explain the grounds for such a super aggressive treatment and if such should ever be recommended. Then they need to check for missing organs ... maybe the snatched a kidney and the operation failed. I have a strong feeling they do not want the father to see the body because they are hiding something. Chemotherapy is poison ... nineteen days of chemo can cause death by poisoning and her body will show signs ... like get very dark and spotty. If they harvested her organ... surgery marks will show....how will they explain that? She needs a good lawyer who should also take them to court and hopefully successfully sue them for millions and have the ones responsible for her death sent to prison.

Doctors is one thing.
Medical service is another thing.
In EU countries, their government pays the doctors and all the health bills. The money comes from the tax the people pay. So you can sick anyhow you like, go to hospital and be treated properly by a happy and well paid doctor.
-
In US it is different. You have to pay separte medical insurance, otherwise no ambulance and no treatment for you.
All this was revealed during the 2020 covid time.
Nigeria seems to be following the US trend slightly.
We may not have wide spread medical insurance, but ours is sha pay as you go. No pay, no go.

Our doctors will now japa to US and Europe where their salary and equipment is guaranteed.
In Europe, the patients bills are covered totally. In US, the patients bills are partly covered.
But the doctor is fully paid in both cases.

I wonder, this is why it is good to spend time with family members as much as possible, so when they die suddenly we try and remember the good times we had with them rather than crying and mourning.

I can understand, he wants to see her dead body but it wouldn't bring her back and if the hospital refuses to let him see her then leave the body for them, eventually they d get tired of keeping the dead body.

Respect the dead? Yea right! They are dead! They wouldn't notice if they are disrespected.. undecided
