Even if the heat is felt by everyone a hundred times over our politics will still be based on tribe and religion because of the lack of love and trust for Igbo.

Obasanjo. Yaradua, Jonathan. These were all non Igbo who enjoyed the support of the Igbos during elections.

Tomorrow, they'll say Igbo is playing regional politics, they are not integrating. They don't know politics. They'll never be president....bla..bla..bla..

Here we are....all of us. I buy fuel you buy fuel. I complain you also complain. Let's see who blinks first.

My own be saying, anything that will make Tinubu not to complete his 8yrs in peace, holy ghost 🔥. He must complete it. More 7yrs to go. God willing before 7yrs time, my two other siblings might have told Nigeria bye bye and relocate abroad. Peter Obi and Igbos must learn in a hard way. After Tinubu, Shetima or Kwakwanso continue another 8yrs. By then, Obi and Igbos must have learnt enough lesson they won't forget in a hurry.

Dear Jagaban lovers,

What is the progress update on Tinubu’s eight point agenda he promised Nigerians in 2023? This is over one year now. How far?

1. food security;
2. poverty eradication;
3. growth,
4. job creation;
5. access to capital;
6. inclusion;
7. rule of law; and
8. fighting corruption

https://punchng.com/translating-tinubus-8-point-agenda-to-recovery/?amp

What about the 50 million jobs promised between 2023 to 2026? How many has Tinubu and his government created?

Dear obirodents

Peter Obi will never be president of Nigeria no matter the situation of the country

Nigerians don't know what merit means.

They want someone that would fill their stomach, and keep their patronage system going.

That's why we have lots of people supporting an unsustainable subsidy, and why many people don't vote for sane leaders.

Eventually, people will wake up, and we would get our MIllei. LIke Argentina did.
Merit was electing the duo of Tinubu and Shetima and kicking the pandora criminal called Obi to the gutters where he belongs

Wake up and smell the coffee. Election season is long over, now is the time to focus on governance.

No hiding place for the government, they must be held accountable to their promises! No deflections!

nairalanda1:
Yes, we should have voted out APC. But Peter Obi won't have brought about the eldorado you guys want.

Peter Obi, when the victory dust settles, would have faced an economy where 90% of our revenue was going for debt servicing. The only way out would have been to remove fuel subsidy totally, remove electricity subsidy totally, reform taxation, so that at least 70% of the population is taxed..and actively fight corruption.

It would have been nice, but he won't have done that, because Nigerians would have labelled him a wicked person.

There is a reason why tinubu is doing partial reform, and not fighting corruption....it is because if he did the above, he would lose power. That is also why Obi walked back his comment and said he would remove 50% of the subsidy, something that has been done for decades, and has contributed to the issue we are facing now....

Until you, and the obideints and the tinubu, and the atiku and every Nigerian accepts that we are a poor country, we got to jail the corrupt, and we got to actually tax more of our gdp, and spend more on public transport infraxtrtucture....and not throw tantrums over the subsidy being unsustaibnable....we are going to face the same problem for years to come...and you all will be playing musical chairs.

And yes, tinubu is not doing well. We are going to have issues from the subsidy he is still keeping for years.

Re: Muslim-Muslim Ticket - By Fatima Damagum (Daily Trust) by Ojuntana: 1:21pm On Sep 07, 2024
nairalanda1:
Okay, how would you have handled the fact that 90% OF OUR revenue is going for debt servicing as at May 29 2023?

Tinubu is even making matters worse by payuing more and more subsidy, and bringing about hefty deficit, that need loans to fill. THe latest price increase is an example of how unsustainable such a policy is.

Obi would have just done partial removal of subsidy like tinubu...and the same result would have played out.

The only way out is total removal of subsisdy. It does not matter whether you agree with me or not...either we remove subsidies on power and petrol, and let the market set the price, and suffer for some years, while things get set down in order before we reap the benefits....or we keep on having to be bailed out by the IMF....
Must you lie?
Where is the evidence that 90% of govt revenue was going into debt servicing as at may 2023?

you can say what ever you desire, but never think Nigeria is a poor country.

Sometimes I wonder, with al the wanton looting and stealing by public office holders, how is Nigeria still standing??

Where are the billions of recovered abacha loots, it has been rebootedhuh

In all you said we should do, I didnt see where you say cost of governance be reduced or cut down drastically, senators are earning millions of naira monthly for nothing, billions are used to renovate presidential structure, approve billions for hajj subsidy, another billions of to buy presidential jets because the present jet is 19 years old, just to buy a jet thats 14 years old with three different users huh
Well I believe corruption must be fought and government waste must be stopped

And that subsidy must go, and the market sets.the.price

You lost me when you say we are a poor country

We are not poor. We have never been poor. Do you know how much foreign oil companies owe Nigeria in royalties today? Do you know that 90% of our crude oil was stolen for the last 10 years without any accountability?

We are not poor please

A country with a budget of 18 billion dollars for 260 million people is certainly not rolling down Easy Street.

We are rich in resources , but poor because we do not use those resources to make stuff the world needs

Really do I have to spell it out to you guys.?

Rich countries use limited resources to make sutff people need. Poor countries just sell raw materials and import stuff made from those same materials at inflated prices

South Korea, Japan and china learned that trick, otherwise they would have been poor broke ass nations by now. Infact people used to jakpa from those countries in large numbers. Now they don't.

Muslim-Muslim ticket in a country nearly equally divided between Muslims and Christians is an affront to peace and unity in the country. Except Buhari, no other leader did it, Buhari prepared the Muslim-Muslim ticket for Tinubu.
