Paid obidient ipob labouring to outdo each in their exhibition of foolishness.

concho:
Tinubu is not a drug lord; rather, he is an unsuccessful drug dealer. His failure in that realm stems from the same flaw causing his failure in governance (greed) . True drug lords are known for their strategic minds and bold leadership; you’d understand better if you delve into documentaries. It’s somewhat satisfying that those who voted for Tinubu now find themselves entangled in this mess alongside the rest of us—and perhaps, they’re even suffering more.
Zico5:
Tinubu is such a wicked, calous and selfish person. He believes nobody must be better than him. Dangote may be bad but Tinubu supposed to play this game wisely. But because he is pushing personal agenda, he is trying to frustrate the whole system not minding the hardship the masses are passing through. We saw last week how he has acquired NNPC subsidiary to his Oando oil and gas. Only a fool will still be on this man side. If you are still defending Tinubu, the hottest part of the hell is awaiting you.

Nigeria is finished under Tinubu all thanks to the people that rigged him to power. Funny enough, we all are suffering from their shallow mindedness.

NNPC bought OVH from 3 joint venture partners, one of which was Oando.

So, OVH was never owned by Oando alone.

Having bought OVH filling stations, NNPC then merged it's own existing filling stations (NNPC retail) with OVH and decided to call the combined businesses OVH.

Where is the controversy here.

You just needlessly sprinkled your usual biased article with Mr Tinubu and Oando's names to deceive your naive readers that somehow they were involved in dirty transactions.

NNPC bought OVH about 2 or 3 years ago. Oando no longer has anything to do with OVH since then.

Your claim that the Tinubus own Oando is also legally false. Oando is owned by its thousands of shareholders who are ordinary everyday Nigerians- including teachers, nurses, bricklayers, lawyers etc. Are these people Tinubu family members? With just N5000 any one can buy Oando shares and also become a co-owner of Oando.

Mr Kperogi, you can only deceive people who lack knowledge.

We remember how you used to dance around and avoid direct criticism of Mr Buhari during his 8 years in office.

You can't tolerate a Southern president that you can't control. That's what this is all about.
God bless you for the precise and accurate explanation of the NNPC-OVH transaction and relationship . A lot of people, including journalists etc passing commentaries on the transaction have little or no knowledge about merger and acquisition of companies, hence their ignorance and refusal to learn.

But I disagree with you on the issue of Tinubu's performance as president. He has been a total failure, a disaster, clueless and grossly incompetent

Fantastically corrupt. Tinumbu has always been part of the corruption hence the need is not in sight as long as he's president. These crooks want to finish Nigeria patapata.... While EFCC is forming.....just unbundle the contraption but the North and the SW are the ones raping the country.

Imagine acquiring three companies that are much more smaller than yours, then taking the name of the smaller companies you acquired?

Where is that done? That's a first in history.

OP is very right that something isn't right, and both the govt and NNPC at the minimum, owe us transparency and accountability regarding not just the merger and acquisition, but the other pertinent issues raised in this post.

Unless you're an agabadorian who detests accountability.

Oga Kperogi, this is where you get it wrong: “ it began to be dogged by regulatory and other kinds of puzzling troubles from the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.”

You intentionally mentioned Tinubu administration instead of the regulatory bodies and regulations put in place before Tinubu. You are not as clever as you think.

Dangote himself acknowledged that it is Tinubu that encouraged him to start the refinery and he has stated this at many foras over time, the latest been earlier this week. Tinubu as President is the one that steps in and asked that Dangote refinery and other local refinery should be supplied crude as a matter of priority and to sell the crude in Naira. The President has showed support at every opportunity and then for you to now imply and insinuate that his administration is not in support of the refinery is very devilish of you and didn’t showed any sense of reasoning faculty.

Always state the known obvious facts even if those facts did not align or support your narrative.

It is always interesting to see all those who were adamant that the refinery was a scam and will not come into play even in 2050 because they have a sister or brother working there who told them so. These same set of people are now trying to claim Tinubu is against the refinery, the same refinery he was the among the first to support, then when time of glory is about to reach, such people want us to suddenly believe they are now the ones who have the best interest of Dangotte at heart.

Anyway, Dangote is not stupid sha, he will not fall for these new fake friends

Stupid write-up! Firstly, Oando is no longer a member of the OVH group. Secondly, NNPC owns OVH.
NNPC is only using OVH's management competence and strategy in its retailing business

All this illiterates claiming to be educated sef, In other words you are saying Dangote is not the owner of Dangote Group because there are shareholders like bricklayers, teachers etc as co-owners. Can you even listen to yourself?

Everyone knows Tinubu's brother Wale Tinubu owns OANDO just like everyone knows Dangote owns Dangote group because they are the MAJORITY SHARE HOLDERS HOLD AT LEAST 51% OF SHARES IN THEIR COMPANIES AND HAVE THE FINAL SAY ON ANY DECISION MADE.

I had to explain the above in capital letters so it can sink into your skull.

Tinubu is a greedy bastard that will die empty and unsatisfied, fact. All he stole from Nigeria will be seized after his death, another fact.

The answer is simple

Once fuel starts coming out of the refinery, fuel prices will jump up to over 1000 naira. Otherwise, dangote refinery would be scrap in ten years time.

The tinubu government knows that if that happens it is game over for them. They may not even last till 2027.

That is the real reason..forget all this long story.

The government does not want to increase fuel price or remove subsidy. They know it would destroy them.
There is no subsidy at the moment. People are paying over N1000 per litre and you're still talking about non existent subsidy! How much do you think one litre of petrol should cost if there is no subsidy on petrol? I guess you will say N2,000, right?
