How Nigerian Kids Celebrated Birthdays In The 70s And 80s (Throwback Photo) by Rapmoney(op): 11:43am On Sep 09, 2024
This is before the society became so influenced by the ways of oyibo people. I remember how it was back then. Life was simple and people didn't see it as a do or die affair.

Today, to celebrate birthdays, special photographs must be snapped, clothes borrowed or rented and different activities must be involved. Even if there is no money, we must borrow to celebrate the birthday.

See how life was simple.

Boys dey always frown for their pics back then, Na only girls dey shine teeth when dem see camera

Saw all my old pics and wonder why i was looking so serious then.

That boy is happy but having to maintain a particular pose and to appear before a camera wasnt anything fun to him

Now, Our Male adults even use filters for their pictures like the female counterparts. They devolved huh

When things were sweet and better. Then, the total amount to use to celebrate birthday no pass #50, even the poor celebrate their children's birthday in full.

Who knows then that plagues (Thinubu and A.P.C) are coming to steal happiness from Nigerians.
