I find it hard to comprehend these statistics. How do these almost empty Northern states claim such numbers? COMRADES, there is nothing like accuracy here, we cannot conduct a free and fair election which is very simple, is it head counting which is very complex that we would get it right? What a joke |

Simply population density. For example Enugu and Kano have similar population density 426 and 442 people per square kilometer, respectively. This therefore means if Enugu is as big as Kano state it will have about the same population and vice versa. Likewise if Lagos was as big as Kano state, with its population density of 2,607 people per square kilometer, Lagos population alone would be over 52million people. On the other hand if Kano was as small as Lagos it would have a population of only 1.5million! Population = Population Density X Land Mass Southern states have higher population density while northern states have higher land mass Another example if Katsina State was as small as Imo state it would have a population of just 1.3million people. If Borno State were to have Population density of Anambra it (Borno State) would have a population of 61.5million people Therefore the appearance of 'emptiness' due to sparse population is more than made up by the very large land mass of the northern states. I hope your post is for educational purposes. See chart below. https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Population-density-of-the-different-States-in-Nigeria-Source-of-data-National_fig2_277959845

Nothing works in Nigeria. The population is grossly overblown. It was concocted by the same people who rigged emilokan into Asorock. How can Kano be 16million? I'm not even thinking of comparing it to Lagos which they gave 15million. Imagine Sokoto having 6 million people. No be juju be that? See Gombe having more population than Taraba. Everything about Nigeria is fake. |
