very correct surulere in the most center part of lagos and also Apapa and AJegunle....from here you can link to the island easily.......Yaba is not part of surulere o abeg, as from tejuosho market is under lagos mainland local govt ok, surulere have the good bad and ugly .....porsh places around bode thomas and adelabu areas and slums in coker orile and ijesha areas

well I can agree with you that Yaba is not part of Surulere..but you see from tejuosho forget the lcda or local government demarcation..it's all Surulere till itire till coker according to history..why is national stadium call Surulere..why is ojuelegba Surulere? Surulere and yaba with ebute metta were all under Lagos mainland local government.

Ifako is contiguous with Bariga, true, but still, ifako is under Gbagada generally. The areas you are talking about are Gbagada estate phase 1 and 2, and yes those are pretty cool areas, I agree.

Magodo is the poshest/classiest of the three. Completely upscale and no mix with slums and also relatively the most secure. It is also the most expensive. Closest to Ikeja but farthest from the Island. Gbagada also has very good housing estates but it's mixed with the rough and not so secure areas as well. Its central location with easy access to Ikeja and Island is a plus.Surulere is the biggest by far and has a mix of the very good to the very bad. In terms of liveliness, it is the best but also the least secure. It's also the closest to the Island.Ogudu GRA is also another very decent place to stay, but it's more like Gbagada in assessment.Ikeja GRA, Omole phases 1 & 2 are other sweet posh and serene locations to live in Mainland Lagos.

Surulere is within walking distance of the island. Magodo is Posh and Gbagada is between Magodo and Surulere

These are the regular Mainland hustle and bustling areas. There are some cool estate spots in Festac though. Yaba's housing system is old and too tight yet relatively expensive. But Yaba is a better central location than Festac and is sometimes considered to be an extension of Surulere.

I relocated from phc , to Lagos, now based in Surulere. About 18 mins drive to island o, if no traffic and lesser to Ikeja or there about. The good thing with Surulere, we can use third mainland or eko bridge, incase of road wahala. I stay at Ogunlana drive o, rent here na die. I leave the office by 5pm, get home before 6pm, my colleague leaving in Gbagada waits till 7pm because of traffic, the one at magodo leaves 5pm get to her house after me have taken dinner and bath o. shine your eye

Everything depends on your budget,and your class. If you're okay,I hope you know what I mean,I'll advise you go for Magodo - it's the best of the three.

Common sense now. Avoid Island because of flood.
