In Q2 2024, Nigeria’s top export destinations were dominated by European and American countries. Spain emerged as the largest export partner, receiving goods valued at N2.01 trillion, accounting for 10.34% of Nigeria’s total exports. Thank you Spain for your patronage of Nigerian businesses. Tinubunomics has started working and improving our aggregate output significantly tilting our economy in favor of exports than imports. Rent-seekers will now need to innovate, create local alternatives and compete globally or die. Those who want to continue with their 'container' importation business like the mediocre LP Presidential candidate will not like this kind of good news. FG, under President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not allow our nation to remain a dumping ground because you want to keep stocking your trading and supermarket business. Lailai! Here is the lesson to those wishing ill luck to the administration of President Bola Tinubu; when you hate, criminally defame and point accusing fingers at an innocent person, the remaining 4 fingers of illwind you wish others are pointing at you! You bless Nigeria, Nigeria will bless you, you curse Nigeria, Nigeria will curse you and your generations and nothing you sow in Nigeria or outside Nigeria will be blessed because the curse will follow you around! Big ups to everyone who made this possible. We are absolutely on track to disappointing the naysayers and unpatriotic elements who always wish our dear country ill. This surplus will be massively increased by Q4 when we would have achieved drastic reduction in importation of PMS, Polypropylene, Fertilizer etc and export of PMS. May God bless Nigeria for ever! This one and posting senseless news Very unproductive element that attach himself to political crooks like a remora to survive is telling other people to compete globally or die. Trade surplus cho cho cho but the report only ended up highlighting crude oil as the largest contributor but failed to mention the other commodities. The import and export margin is not because Nigerians are now exporting more meaningful commodities superior to what they were doing just a year ago but because they are now poorer, preoccupied with survival than doing business. What is even the surplus value in international currency like dollars. Compare the dollar value of this phantom surplus with surplus from one year ago. The surplus is not cause of any meaningful economic growth but because our national currency and every other thing has gotten bad. People getting poorer and businesses folding up, it is normal for export - import margin to widen in favour of export, not that government has performed some magic to grow the export sector |

Dear Jagaban lovers, What is the progress update on Tinubu’s eight point agenda he promised Nigerians in 2023? This is over one year now. How far? 1. food security; 2. poverty eradication; 3. growth, 4. job creation; 5. access to capital; 6. inclusion; 7. rule of law; and 8. fighting corruption https://punchng.com/translating-tinubus-8-point-agenda-to-recovery/?amp What about the 50 million jobs promised between 2023 to 2026? How many has Tinubu and his government created? https://www.nairaland.com/7821154/tinubu-sets-3-year-economic-revival |

Hmmm The trade surplus is not reflecting in the welfare of the country populace, basic essentials are out of reach for the netizen due to constant and uncontrollable inflation. Supporting this government again is like a self inflict injury. I rest my case. |

Tough decisions for challenging times. The President should remain on course and not allow himself to be distracted. Remove subsidy patapata and put the saved money into repaying some of our debts and invest the rest in education, health and agriculture. Non oil exports are booming. Economy is rumbling like a volcano that is about to explode. Those in the know are investing in businesses now because they know this economy will become unstoppable after this challenging period. All the hard decisions that previous Presidents from Chief Obasanjo failed to take because they didn't want to be unpopular, this President is taking them. A very courageous man. Those who want to continue to be spoon fed by government through all sorts of subsidies need to realise Nigeria simply can't afford never-ending subsidies. Mr Tinubu is doing well though he can do even better if detractors will let him be. |
