I will take such a job only if I am not fit enough to do bus conductor or sell groundnuts. One can earn more than 26k monthly by opening doors at banks or restaurants. I blame able-bodied people that apply for such teaching jobs in such schools. I blame parents that neglect public schools and enrol their children in such good-for-nothing private schools. More than 80% of Nigerian teachers are underpaid, teaching in Nigeria is more or less slavery. My former proprietor goes to the club and bars almost every day to flex but when it's time to pay his staffs salary he will start speaking in parables about how people should be able to sacrifice and endure whatever one is going through. Majority on Nairaland are taught by these sorts of teachers and you can tell the way they post. If you started school after Abacha died just know there is a high probability you are one of them. Don't be too harsh on the school. There are schools and there are schools. Take a look at the school buildings roof. Where is the school located? What kind of community is it situated in? How many students are registered in the school? How many of them are feeling paying students? So many questions to be answered......! 5 Likes |
