In so many ways, shes right. Our grandfathers used to marry three and four wives. Monogamy in the African environment is a recent development that came with the Europeans and Christianity. The idea that an African man will marry a single woman and stay there oooooo till eternity is so beuriful but obviously very utopian . Oga if you want to be polygamist, be free and open up, tell your first wife your intention before marrying her, and after you marry her, if you want to add another wife, tell her also your intention that you're married and want to add another; no one will kill you.

But the idea of commiting to a wife and sleeping with another outside marriage is very wrong and should be frowned against. That is a simpish move because you don't have the boldness to declare your stand of becoming a polygamist but instead chose to be sleeping around.
