@CNN @BBCWorld, @PoliceNG, other relevant authorities and media institutions & the general public that I am starting a hunger strike at the National Assembly complex Abuja on October 1, 2024, to urge as follows:
1. Let Nigerians see the Senate and House of Reps checking the excesses of the Executive arm of our Government.
2. Any Senator or House of Reps member who is not representing a check on the executive arm and the will of his/her constituents, and therefore abetting the excruciating suffering of those constituents, SHOULD BE RECALLED by the constituents.
3. We can have a TRUE DEMOCRACY where the people are represented only by candidates CHOSEN by most people based on well-informed choice, but only WHEN THE PEOPLE PLAY THEIR ROLE.
4. Democracy shouldn't be where a president or a governor does what he likes and the PEOPLE are HELPLESS about it. Otherwise, it's no longer a GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE.
5. The MAJOR reason Nigerians suffer ECONOMICALLY is that they are POLITICALLY represented "not by their choice and voice but by area boys" as I have in my anthem for the exercise. In other words, A LACK OF TRUE DEMOCRACY is the ROOT CAUSE of the MANY woes Nigerians are going through.
5. The Nigerian socio-political system needs URGENT REFORMS. I will propose them as I know, other Nigerians will contribute and we WORK TOGETHER.

If you are going to die anyway of hunger, it's better to do it where your government dey so everyone goes know who cause am. No need to die in vain!
