Christlike01:
There are many good and hospitable Fulani people in Nigeria, and I acknowledge that. However, the truth is that the Fulani as a group have developed a negative reputation across the country due to the criminal activities of a significant number of Fulani herdsmen. Some might argue that many of these herdsmen are not Nigerians, but the fact remains that indigenous Fulani often fail to openly condemn the criminal acts committed by these so-called foreign herdsmen from other countries.

I assume you're Fulani, right? You're educated, and people like you need to start speaking out. You can't let other Nigerians continue believing that the indigenous Fulani are shielding these murderous foreign herdsmen and covering up their heinous crimes.

It is wrong for Fulani from countries like Niger, Mali, Chad, Senegal, and others to come under the guise of cattle herding and commit violent acts against Nigerians. If the indigenous Fulani don't stand up against these foreign invaders, other Nigerians will continue to hold the indigenous Fulani accountable, and rightly so, for the nefarious actions of these foreign invaders.
but who build these bad reputation for fulani? It is the evil Media that spread this propaganda yes there is some herder farmer crisis it was usually small scale and resolved at the local level involving fulani Ardo and the traditional ruler of the locals, it is to the best advantage for the fulani to remain at goodwill with the locals because a nomad don't have any advantage in a prolonged hostilities and this is so historically any place that the Fulani lost trust with local peoples they simply leave the place, everyone who have fulani neighbors will confirm that. But what we are seeing happening now in North West are armed modern terrorists from all ethnic groups in the Sahel they were not nomads contrary to what most of you belive this people don't go around with cows they are full time terrorists but everywhere they attack you will see news like fulani herdsmen attack.

And honestly from what I understand it is not a one or two factors that fuel this unreasonable hate towards the Fulani there are many of them and it's very complex issue but because most fulani have a culture of silence about it continued to rage but honestly it doesn't concern me too much because I have confidence that everyone who lives with fulani will confirm that we are not evil and heart hardened, for example gombe and adamawa the two most peacefull and accommodating states in nothern nigeria are all fulani majority and dominant states.

While I agree that not all Fulani are criminals, it’s important to acknowledge the genuine concerns people have due to the increasing incidents involving fulani herdsmen, especially in southern Nigeria. These crimes, including killing, raping, and kidnapping, cannot simply be brushed aside as media propaganda. There are verifiable accounts and real victims of these attacks, and to label everything as "media manipulation" would be unfair to those who have suffered.

However, it’s also important to understand that not all Fulani should be blamed for the actions of a few. The situation is more complex than simply labeling one group as the cause of all problems. As you rightly pointed out, there are armed groups in the Sahel that are not herdsmen but full-time terrorists. The media might lump all these incidents under "Fulani herdsmen," which contributes to the bad image. I understand this perfectly.

That said, the culture of silence among the Fulani community on this issue can also fuel misunderstandings. Open dialogue and clear distinction between nomadic herdsmen and terrorists are essential. Communities like Gombe and Adamawa, where Fulani coexist peacefully with others, can serve as examples of how trust and understanding can prevail.
The truth is that other Nigerians believe the Fulani have some kind of hidden agenda, which is why Fulani leadership rarely comments on the murderous activities of Fulani herdsmen across the country – silence implies consent, you know?

While I will never support painting the entire Fulani people with a broad brush, it is very important for the Fulani leadership in this country to be seen genuinely condemning the heinous activities of the herdsmen. This will go a long way in building peaceful coexistence between the Fulani and other ethnic groups in Nigeria.

May God bless our country.

That clean shot to the forehead is reflective of an execution. Most likely the guy was caught snd executed.
Because if he’s not executed, justice will not be melted on him. He would be kept alive, fed well and be made a celebrity and an inspiration for his boys outside. They will continue looking up to him and be hailing him while he’s in detention.

Exactly. There seems to be a scar by his lips in the picture, none in death.
I think that was an old mar that healed and faded away with time
