aworhmabel:
Hi

First step is to calculate ur score via the crs tool. Use this link: https://ircc.canada.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Second step is to take the IELTS Exam and make sure u get a minimum of Listening: 8; Reading: 7; Writing: 7; Speaking 7.5 (i will advise you to aim higher, cos the higher ur IELTS test, the higher ur points for language)

Third step is to get ur highest degree evaluated via WES (preferably masters). You can do this while preparing for ur IELTS exam. The link to WES Canada is https://applications.wes.org/createaccount
Your University will be the one to upload your results via WES. So u shouldn't bother yourself. It is only wen u start the process that u understand it

Fourth step is to create an express entry profile and enter the pool with the NOC of your choice. The link to registering of an account via canada immigration website is https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html

Nomination via PNP is only applicable to u if u av a sibling residing in that particular province for over a year and that province offers sibling nomination. Provinces like Alberta, Manitoba & Saskatchewan offer sibling nomination but you  need to go to their various websites for further research.
You can explore the ongoing category draws. There are six categories which are: STEM (this is applicable to u), Agriculture,  Transportation, French, Trade and Healthcare. You just need to have had work experience in the last three years for either of these categories and enter the pool with their NOC (For example if you have worked as a Transportation manager in the last 3yrs, u can go into the pool with NOC number 70020 for work experience and make sure that you can get a reference letter/payslip to backup ur claim after u av received an ITA)
You can use this link to track all the draws done and their last CRS score and compare with yours, so you know where you stand, or which category draw to go for. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html#wb-auto-4

There is no telling on when you will get an ITA or the exact timeframe to get ur PR afrer ITA cos Canada is not predictable.  So instead of worrying about all that, start with baby steps by getting ur WES/IELTS and entering the pool.

Leave the rest to God.

There is going to be an announcement next month on the various categories/number of people Canada wants to welcome next year. So u can be preparing for ur IELTS while you await the new update
Thanks for sharing

I intend to be the primary applicant for this PR procession for a family of 5, so i will be writing IELTS before year ends. Does my wife also need to write IELTS? If as a secondary applicant? If yes, when is the ideal time for her to write it?

Also, is it possible to go with my widowed mum? We bear the same surnames and I included her in my count of family of 5.

Finally, how much is needed for POF for a family of 5? A cursory Google search shows 30k+. Is this correct?

Calculate your CRS score to know. If your score is enough to get you invitation, then you don't need your wife to write. But with a family of 5, you'd need more than just her language test score.

Parents and grandparents cannot be included as dependents in your Express Entry application, they can be sponsored for permanent residence later when you have become a permanent resident through the Family Sponsorship Program.

Check on the official IRCC website for the current POF.

Hey,

If they asked for updated PoF it usually means they want to finalize your application soon and want to be sure you have the funds available for settling in Canada. So IMO you’re probably better off liquidating into your savings and topping up the account.
Or provide updated documents showing maturity date and show the extra/top up in your other account.

A short LOE explaining how your PoF is split btw your fixed investment with providus bank which will mature on 01/01/1900 and #xxxxxxx in my savings account with ABC bank will also be helpful. Attach documents n bank reference letter to back both up.
Cheers

Thank you. However i am thinking of fixed deposit liquidation into my account to show that I have access to this money. Is this advisable. Also since the fixed deposit is not enough. Can I use additional fund in my piggyvest account

Your response will be appreciated

You’ll get it soon. How long it’s going to take depends on your VO.
Don’t resign yet.

All the best

Your brother in law should do the gift deed to your husband, and then use your account and your husband’s account to show proof of funds.

Your husband will also need to write and sign a letter stating that you have full access to the funds in his account, and it’s for you both to settle in Canada

Final decision usually precedes getting the RFV mail or PPR letter, on average a day to a week later.
No, it isn't automatic, you are again placed on a queue for your visa office to send the letter. Wait a bit more, it will come soon👍.
