From Calabar to Maxwell Kobe Cantoment-Jos, John Obienu Recce Barracks, Dodan Barracks, Ikeja, Letmauk Barracks-Mokola Ibadan, Abakpa Cantonment, 2 Brigade Barracks-PH. I really missed stints with any of the Abuja Barracks. Life in the Barracks was a mixed experience for me. Mingling with the MP/intelligence, attending Army Children School and the army Protestant churches were really the most memorable experiences for me while living the Barrack life. General Sanni Abacha, IBB, Garba Duba, Salisu Ibrahim, Martin Luther Awgai and Major General Chukwuemeka Onwumegbu were awesome personalities back then. Abeg who knows if Dodan Warriors Basketball team still exists? nlfpmod.

I rep dodan barracks. Those days we walk along the road towards the state House to one little gate that lo military band and link to the military hospital and keffi. There was security but not like Abuja. Nigeria has come a long way. l remember my class teacher took to the front gate to draw the coat of arms. Very big one hanging at the top of the gate... |

samomoli: You be real barrack boy. So was it the big coat of arms from the Ikoyi, Ibalende or Ribadu Road end of the presidential drive way? The one close to the Catholic Church is one close to our block then. Oh my Saint Paul Military Protestant Church inside Barracks. |

Whao! You lives @ Mokola Barracks too? Which side of the Barracks bro. We were living @ Behind Army Children School 4. Share your barracks life experiences sir. |

Racoon:Does he even know the meaning of guerilla warfare ![]() I'd laugh when i see a lot of them insulting the military for some of their set backs particularly in the north. It's a guerilla warfare in a very difficult terrain . God help their ignorance |

So Benjamin Adekunle AKA blackcoward or sorry black scorpion had no barracks named after him? After all his efforts in cowardly killing innocent defenceless Biafrans? What a pity |

Had an awesome and spectacular service year at Abakpa barracks. That's where I developed my love for the Nigerian Army, that's where I understand that army are good people and very disciplined and most importantly respectful. God bless Major Henry Akinde my godfather during my service year at Enugu. |
