Someone needs to tell this ingrate that Buhari is not the one in power. If he misbehaves, he will learn his lesson in a hard way. Go and ask Fayose in Ekiti and Dino in Kogi. By the time Obaseki is caged and restricted to his house, I know many fake supporters will not remember what he said but blame FG. Let's see what happens then
Your first three lines contradicts your last line. Those you mentioned did election during Buhari''s regime.
Meanwhile, the rate at which you guys see presidency as the alpha and the omega of every is disheartening. This is why they also see themselves as God's that cannot be tamed.

Asue Ighodalo is the unfortunate spin-off of a terrible sponsor. A man whom many have described as an Ingrate and one who lacks the capacity to hold friendshipsbshould jot be the one propping a fine gentleman like Asue. Asue Ighodalo's ambition has been sacrificed on nothing else than the puerile character of a man who is known as a serial betrayer. Asue Ighodalo should not have come under Obaseki. Obaseki is the taint, the curse to his beautiful dreams which he will likely kiss goodbye on Sunday the 22nd of September at about 5pm to 6pm. He will kook back and wonder so many things but by then, the man described as an illiterate would be crunching numbers which might be life defining for him as he becomes the next Chief Executive of Edo State.

It is clear from the body language of Obaseki that if he could, he'd also betray Asue Ighodalo for safe landing. He knows on the inside of him the power that he is fighting. The friends who rose for him have since deserted him and he is left with no serious political heavyweight to do the work for him. Asue is left with nothing but some guy in America who on YouTube hits a wall and claims to be an independent APC but with only minus value for his campaign and another one on the UK clapping for him. It is amazing that Asue has to now rely on persons who are tucked outside Nigeria for anything serious about his campaign.

Senator Monday Okpebholo is perhaps the smartest politician amongst them all. A man who understood the task - stoop to conquer. A man who was trained to avoid the spotlight to avoid being drawn into a war where he would be shared up. A man wise enough to know not to appear on a certain Eranimigho show and who was only loud where it mattered - with the masses who would vote for him. While Asue is in Twitter running challenges, this local man stayed local, winning the hearts of the masses and quietly avoiding the arrogance of 21st century social media blitz and shiny posturing. He connected with the people while Asue connected with the educated.

Unfortunately for Asue, the people determine the winner of an election like the Givernorship election of Edo State, not the educated.

It is safe to say that Edo is on the way back to the APC. The handwriting is leaving the wall and becoming the reality of the polity as the days draw nearer.

Asue. Next time, avoid Obaseki. He plagued you.

This is how you people praised Tinubu to high heavens but he turned out to be a colossal failure.

The handiwork of the judiciary. Their rulings have shown that just do all you could and win on the day of election, then, you're under cover by the judiciary.
As I always say, if judiciary doesn't kill this country, then, it would be by God's grace.

Give APC fire for fire
Give APC fight for fight
Give APC arms for arms
Give APC thugs for thugs

Gone are the days of Peter Obi political styles of leaving it for God. Now we take things in our hands. Let judgement be of the Lord.

You wrote poetics and not facts.
Elections present opportunities for people to choose their leaders but the Nigerian system is unhealthy for the sane. Having written eloquently, I must say, you tried avoiding the spotlight in other to avoid critics. My challenge with write ups like this is- What exactly do you represent? Is it a nation built my the people's will or devoided of it like we have presently? A nation that wants to move forward needs nothing much but will power. Why on earth should a state like Edo tilt towards an illiterate? How can the indigenous of a state like Edo tilt towards a joke? It's an insults to the collective brilliant minds we have. Is leadership in Nigeria always having to do with sabotaging the literate minds? Let's just take of the schools so we all roam the streets. There's nothing to learn in a system that deprived sanity.
Few days ago NNPCL denied being the sole off taker to Dangote ref.? What sort of system do we want to run. Is it a system of making education a mockery or we truly want to build a nation? This is truly disturbing

I don't blame these politicians for their highly inflammatory speeches!
I blame electorates who see their leaders as emperors who should be served Instead of serving the people!
This is why I can never support a candidate that has been heavily sponsored by their political godfathers!
Indeed it's a do or die affair but none of obaseki family members will be part of that war!
Rather the do or die will unfortunately be done by the poor and hungry electorates in Edo state who ignorantly thought they were doing the right thing!
Less than two years from now these same politicians will meet at a party or occasion and shake hands as if they have been friends forever!
I have one simple advise to the electorates of Edo state from Dele Farotimi 'Do not die in their war!'
Enough said!

He's just trying to match violence for violence. Peaceful election is never in APC agenda. Oshiomole is working hard with APC to grab it and run with it and deliver Edo to hardship causing party.

APC and PDP are two evils, that we know. On a scale choose the lesser evil. Compare your lifestyle from 1999-2014(PDP), now compare your lifestyle from 2015-2023 (APC)For the last time I dare u compare your life if it is worth living just under 17months(APC). Now take that decision to the pool and vote for your choice.

You know that to a carpenter, everything is a nail right? To some of your befuddled minds, it is always about money. You think that money solves issues, resolves issues and upturns issues. You lack the mental calibration to identify sentiments that are real. The gumption you carry is soaked in perhaps extreme depravity that life only has meaning with reference to Naria and Kobo only. I am hoping to know how much you were paid for this quantum of uncouthness.

Maybe then I can understand your brain microeconomics and how the blood running your system is only cash based.

Edo people should do the needful and vote LP. The only LP governor we have in Nigeria, I think it's Gov. Alex Otti of Abia State is doing wonderfully well.

It's LP all the way.

But for the records, this statement coming from the mouth of a sitting Governor who has the mandate of the good people of Edo State is so bad, inflammatory and unacceptable.

They should stop heating the polity

If it was Oshiomole or Akpabio or Tinubu that made this statement, social media would had been on fire with influencers spinning the meaning. No one will agree to reason whatever the context may be. Here is a sitting governor promising violence leading to possible death in his state during election and everyone is silent. Let's continue to be biased and show favouritism, what's happening to us will continue to happen.

Edo people, if you know what is good for you, never allow your state treasury to fall into the hands of an uneducated man surrounded by thieves, failures and demons. There's no sacrifice you do during this election that will be compared to the destruction APC will bring to Edo state. If you doubt, ask those from Imo state.
It's no doubt that Obaseki performed below expectation but at least, you know you're dealing with a lesser evil. Fight with all that you have. Leave nothing to chance. Demand the release of those abducted and taken to Abuja by the Nigerian police. They clearly don't operate fairly so don't deal fairly to them too.
Monday Okpebholo is not qualified to be given Edo state government house and treasury going by his speeches and public engagement in the run up to this election. It is the truth. Let him go and brush up himself and return in the next election. If his engagement is well improved and captures the mind of Edolites, then you can choose him since he's also one of your sons.
Never allow vultures to choose who becomes the king of a brood of chickens. Those chickens will be inviting death upon themselves.
Finally, nobody steals power to use it for the good of the people. You can ask Hope Uzodinma for confirmation.
May God help Edo people to secure their state from bloodsuckers and scavengers.
