The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid?

But in my life now I seem to be afraid of everybody.... still God dey my back.
Cause he can obviously see the scared little puppy in me.

If you check our book very well, we have many ungodly people mentioned in it that has wealth, so also those that knew God too that are Godly had wealth ...being ungodly and have God's blessings doesn't mean you will enter the kingdom of God. Example is the rich man and Lazarus in our book... So keep quiet.

Then you don't know the God you serve... If you really know God, you won't fear. Having God doesn't mean you confront people or witches and wizards or military men or anybody... But once they confront you, they confront God...

And don't put your trust in men... Having God doesn't mean you shouldn't be watchful and wise...

As a young boy in St Bartholomew Pri School, Enugu back then, the first Bible book which took my deep interest was the entire Book of Revelations.
Till date I can't explain why I was drawn to that special book of The Bible.
And I wonder why most Nigerian pastors avoid it like a bubonic plague or leprosy afflicted patient.

Not sure I know God very well but I'm definitely seeing his work in my life.

He even communicates with me at times I ask questions and when I open the Bible randomly I would see direct answers..... shocked, I would close it and open randomly again I would the same thing in a different verse.

Wonder why it has taken me 30yrs to begin to understand a very tiny bit of the ways of God.
The little I have seen so far is still like a great puzzle to me, I hate things I can't understand before now I feel the need to have absolute understanding of everything I want, every detail.

He has an unbelievable sense of humour,I kid you not I once had a dream about a man everybody around him saw his face but I didn't every time I tried to see his face he would turn away, for some reason it refused to leave my mind.

It was two and a half years later a pastor called me out in church and told me that man I saw 2 years ago in my dream is the future me....God was showing me what will happen and I had no idea.


I don't know God and I want to know him.
One thing is certain, God is fighting many battles for a lot of us and if he opens our eyes to see, a type of fear would come on the person.
Not fear of human being but the fear of things that would happen to those plotting evil against us.
Recently people who offend or harm me or mock me, disaster comes on them very quickly and I usually see it either when passing by or I would hear about.
That's why I'm afraid for people not that I'm scared of people.

The book of Revelation is very powerful and it can put real fear into the human mind.

There's a part of it that God pecifically talks about 4 sins that would bring an end to mankind.

And if you observe the world today those 4 sins are the most common sins you will find everywhere you go.

Oh okay my brother ... Now I get you very clearly... Yes you are very correct, God fights our battles...and He's never tired of fighting for us, He fights for us when we leave all our fights for Him to fight. Please my brother, with the vision and all you said happened, please don't leave God, the more you are closer to Him, the deeper you get to know Him... You are a covenant child in Christ...

Sorry, if I'm derailing the thread; I just feel I should say this. Everything the verse says or advises can also be found in our traditional religions. So it doesn't necessarily mean it is inspired by God. Your being a Christian, being in church is a product of history, of wars, not of Providence.

That compelled me as a kid to devout much time and effort to studying Psalm 1 throughout the week, so when the time came, I was able to successfully recite the full chapter before the pastor and the whole audience.

Of course, I consequently received a gift from the pastor as promised, however perhaps a greater gift was the indelible lesson that particular chapter taught me, because that was how I first got to know about the importance of walking in righteousness and obedience to God and what it means to be truly blessed.

I strongly believe that was actual aim of the youth pastor - not just to make us not just recite the chapter, but also thereby inculcate the ways and righteous paths of the Lord into our hearts while we were yet little kids, so it would help to guide us in life even as we grew older, and that good seed he sowed in my life is still bearing fruits up til this very day.

May God bless that youth pastor wherever he is right now. Amen!

The first Bible chapter I recited as a kid was Psalms 91.
My teacher at the children church at that time gave about seven of us that chapter to memorize and we are to read it to the whole church on our anniversary sunday without looking at the Bible. Out of about 7 of us, I was the only one who recited the 16 verses correctly without looking at the Bible.
After reading verse 16, all I was hearing was a loud sound of applause. I think I was between 8-9 years old at that time. E don tey sha.

The whole church, including the church security man, were congratulating me and praising my mother that day.
I think I was given an exercise book and writing materials as gifts that day for my impressive performance.
