spiritismisreal:I understand where you're coming from, and I don't claim to be perfect. You're right; none of us here are saints, and I won't pretend otherwise. But my point is not about judging people for their choices, it's about being clear on what we attribute to God and what we don't. You're right that many people, including governments and institutions, engage in deception, and I’m not here to argue that anyone is completely blameless. However, what I’m saying is this: if you choose to lie, forge documents, or pretend to be something you're not(gay or lesbian) to gain asylum or to get ahead in life, that’s a decision you’ve made. But we should not bring God into it and claim that any success achieved through these means is by His grace. The God I know, as portrayed in the Bible and other holy books, is pure, just, and holy. Nowhere does He endorse lying or deception to improve our circumstances. Just as we wouldn’t say a thief’s success in a robbery is "God’s blessing," we shouldn't say that a success obtained through fake documents or a false asylum claim is "by God’s grace." God gives everyone free will, and what we do with that free will is up to us. But let’s not mix human actions with divine endorsement. It's not about whether or not I support fake asylum claims—people will make their choices based on their life situations. My only issue is dragging God into situations that are contrary to His teachings. If we make a choice to lie or manipulate for a better life, let’s own that decision, but let’s not deceive ourselves into thinking God approves or that He had a hand in it. If someone escapes hardship through manipulation, that's their choice. But God didn’t bless the lie or falsehood; it was a human decision made to navigate a difficult system. We should acknowledge our actions for what they are, rather than trying to justify them as part of God’s plan. In the end, attributing success that’s built on deception to God diminishes His true nature—one that’s based on truth, justice, and purity. |

Can both sides please let this issue go already. You've both made your points and may God bless you both. Attend to people who needs your guidance here and don't use that energy dragging issues that other side won't eventually agree with you because both of you will keep making their own points and none of you will succumb to others because your experiences differs and that's why you can both advise based on your experience and that's so sweet and beautiful. Your points are both clear and will definitely help those who needed answers in regards to it because you both explained it in plain and comprehensive languages, that's is, it's well detailed. It's a new day . A very great day to us all.orjohn24: |

Do you have a TRV already? If no then go and get it 1st. I think the IRCC are very proactive now to ensure if you don't have a great career or business profile, good travel history and reputation, gainfully employed in a reputable company, have a thriving business or have a genuine person to visit in Canada, you may likely not get it. You must check at least two or more of this list. So just kiss the idea as Dead On Arrival. Zannybisi048: |

My colleague did for himself and family from the UK. I think the timeline is longer than from Nigeria. He just got a full time job in UK and I have asked him to update via webform to strengthen his home tie because he earlier used the Nigerian job information. Calmlolly: |

When we condemn the act people give as excuse for abusing asylum privilege it looks like we dont want there progress. For one National that falsely claims asylum in Canada about 2k genuine persons will be refused also. That is the effect. So sorry for your refusal even with such high profile. I am happy you are applying for your notes, it will give you better clarity of what to do. Ramaii: |

Ramaii:. The worst thing is that they will wait so long then refuse person, my sisters refusal did not even take up to 4 weeks after applying oh the reason are just similar to yours |

Visit USA or/ and Europe if you can . It will boost your travel profile. Then you can do Canada. Infact you will get CAN plus. Another thing is allow madam and the children go for a sponsored vacation by you. When they go and come, you can then apply for yours. By so doing you get strong home ties for each application. Jeboy:My good broda this asylum talk on this platform is not helping any of us, i think is good for us to knw ircc have Nigerians on their payroll n those pple get info frm social platform like this. So we shld try n stop doing all these talk of asylum on public platform like this. And is good we knw Nigerians are not d nmbr one asylum seekers, Indian are nmbr one but u can never ever see them trying to speak against it on public platform like we do for d sake of correction. Indian asylum seekers... Lie more on visa application Fake more on visa application But get higher rate of visa approval than us, why do u think dat is. They don't expose them selves publicly like we do, together with other more reasons. Even if what u are saying is correct d way u said it without compassion is really not good. Plz broda nxt time don't do like this because u put me in a bad light like i told u I am travelling to seek asylum n u can most likely be destroying ur own chances of success too. Lastly if we keep giving pple negative energies like this on d this platform pple will most likely stop posting refusal dat will be of help to another person. No hard feelings. Cheers |

Ramaii:Sir, I believe you may have misunderstood the gentleman’s argument. It wasn’t a personal attack on you, but rather a general comment on why someone with a strong profile, like yours, might face rejection. There’s no secrecy surrounding asylum-seeking, nor any need for compassion regarding the facts—it’s simply an open reality. In fact, reports show that it’s not only Nigerians facing these challenges. Claims by Bangladeshis at Canadian airports have increased by over 1,200%, and nearly 700% for Nigerians. These three countries—India, Bangladesh, and Nigeria—are currently experiencing difficulties in obtaining Canadian visitor visas, with many rejections occurring right at the airport. Recently, several Indians with visitor visas were also sent back from Canada, so there’s no longer any "secret" about these situations. It’s a collective misuse of the system, which some see as an advantage or even religious grace, but has unfortunately become a burden for others like yourself.and it not about you in the bad light but collectively as Nigerian we are moving at a very fast speed beyond a bad lighting I understand the pain of your refusal, and I'm truly sorry. You might consider renewing your UK visa for a family holiday, then applying for a U.S. visa since you previously held a U.S. transit visa. I wish you all the best in your next steps. |

orjohn24:Brodaly as i type this i am on a foreign going ship living n working with Indians n have done it for more than 10yrs so i get realtime first hand info frm them which i don't wnt to go into here. But for d sake of info sharing on this platform to help our selves, when someone drops an update on refusal of visa let's firstly try to be sensitive n show compassion towards d one with d refusal at least for taking their time to share an update of refusal to help others with d info. By d way i knw... jeboy orjohn24 Are after d good of us all |

Ramaii:Hi, from your explanation I can see what could be the reason for their doubt, hence the refusal. Your financial circumstances shows some inconsistencies. Canada require 4 months bank statement from Nigerian passport holders. You had an opening balance of 7m and 30m closing balance assuming you provided 4 months statement also, you mentioned your salary over 1m. so how come you had a closing balance of 30m? you should be able to demonstrate your social and financial circumstances clearly |
