I don't know if this is a sign that the economy is doing well, but I know it's a sign the purchasing power of the masses has been significantly eroded.

They've damaged the naira that a single product that was exported could now be exchanged for a Ghana must go bag of useless naira, and they're happy about it.

Ask anybody, thats how China discovered itself. China devalued her currency and made local production to kick up. America pressured them to revalue their currency and they refused. This is one of the great benefits of currency devaluation.

That is not how China discovered itself.
China discovered itself by learning bitter lessons from Communist rule(tens of millions death).
Then subsequently embracing capitalist principles of free market(though state controlled) and promoting sectors
where it has a competitive advantages.

China's success has little to do with currency manipulations.
That came later after it has become a manufacturing powerhouse.

What is more important is what is being exported.
Since these are majorly primary products/natural resources, then nothing special
here as we did better in the 70s.
