What has the population of Nigeria got to do with how wealth from oil is shared?.

How will manufacturing and agriculture propel you that oil couldn't?

How much oil is in Japan, Germany or Switzerland?

What is Nigerias most valuable resource?
Answer the damn questions, as simple as that. Do you want me to repeat the questions?

The reason why nnpc is the sole buyer of Dangote petrol is to sell for us at a cheaper price. They are trying to pay subsidy on a low key.
That is the low key truth

Both the Guardian and Punch are correct

Real price is 980 (which may go up at any time) but NNPC subsidised price is 766

It's a welcome development. Now I wonder how much the independent marketers will sell to us
It's a good start at least subsidy remains . And the price can only go down as the value of naira increases. I'm very happy that at least the product will flood the market. And remember the Port-Harcourt refinery will start working soon. Once it's privatisation is completed God bless Nigeria
Hallucination or at best, self deceit.

There are 200 million Nigerians, oil is not going to do for Nigeria what it did for smaller populated countries like Saudi Arabia and UAE.
Manufacturing and Agriculture can propel us even further than those countries.

How do you know that subsidy remains?

What percentage of the price of a litre of fuel does subsidy cover?

Can you give us a date that this port Harcourt will start working?

How do you know that it will start working soon?

Which privatisation are you talking about?

If they removed it completely. You gained nothing as a citizen. Just like you're gaining nothing now than pains and high cost of living. What will happen os that there'll be more of Faac to share to states just as they're doing already. The states governments in turn takes it's time to embezzle them just as they're doing now. Did you notice any usefulness or great development and utilization of increased allocation to the states? Some of them even can't pay the new minimum wage despite the increase allocation.

This are the only way common man benefits from the common wealth of the nation.

Subsidy or no subsidy corruption nd embezzlement will never leave Africa cos of greed.
When I buy PMS at #1200 and they are still claiming subsidy. You are right just sha that's the only thing we benefit as citizen.

Dangote never wanted to sell his PMS cheap. He wanted to make money from Nigeria. He wanted the Subsidy to continue why the subsidy is indirectly channeled to him. That is why he wanted NNPC to be the sole offtaker.

He played on Nigerians emotions because of hatred of frustrated people against Tinubu because they lost election. Dangote brought one of them to lead the Public Relations battle.
You got it

I thought the refinery will make fuel 200naira?

Fools.
Petrol isn’t refined out of water. Nigeria’s energy problem is supply laden (electricity, gas, etc), let’s fix that. The price will fall eventually, it’s simple economics; all this drama over price is to heat up the polity and generate traffic online.

Make the products available, simple

Good.

The price of petrol is gradually dropping. By the time the private refinery starts selling, the price would have dropped more
It can't drop down more than #600
