3. App Pinning

If you've got an android and you come across a situation you need to hand your phone over to somebody, here is a trick for you.

You can set your device to pin the app the person is operating on to prevent him or her from switching to other programs on your smartphone. In essence - he won't be able to exit the current screen without your permission.

Here is how it works:

- locate the settings app on your phone and dive in
- tap the search (microscope icon or search bar) at the top of your screen
- input the keyword "App pin" or "pinning"
- click on it and turn it on
Re: If You've Got An Android, You Should Consider These Tricks by Mistral(op):
Here is the trial guideline for the app pinning

- launch your recent apps page
- click on the overview button above an app display
- click on pin
- app is pinned

No foreigner can exit the app. Trying to exit will lead to the lock screen and you'll need to input your lock code to unlock and unpin the locked app.

8. Autostart Apps

Did you remember how long your battery lasted when you had few apps on it?

Well you can have that experience again by disabling unwanted apps from autostart feature to prevent them from running in the background, using up your battery juice in the process.

Here is how it's done...

- locate and launch your settings app
- use the search feature by typing the keyword "autostart".
- click on autostart or autostart apps as the case may be and disable preferred apps from the access. This will improve Battery life.

Note: I'll advise you leave out Whatsapp, Instagram or other sorts of social app in order to receive message notifications from them. Restricting them too would leave you unaware of your online social life.

9. Setting Navigation Bar To Match App Colour

If you prefer navigation or gesture bar but dislike when the bar doesn't match the app colour you operate on at that moment, it can be worked on. Two ways to do this;

1. You can try out the third party app - Navbar Apps which cannot be found on Play Store but through third party websites.

2. For Tech Savvy users, activate Developer Options in your settings. Afterwards, return to the Settings main page and use the search inserting the keyword "Navigation". Among the results, you'll find Transparent Navigation Bar. Click and turn it on.
