Show the maths... Your maths calculations made so many unrealistic assumptions which I pointed out
1 barrrel = 159 litres
1 barrel sold $72
$1 = #1600

1 barrel × 1600 ÷ 159 ltr

which of these is an unrealistic assumption undecided

So you get 159 litres of products from 159 litres of crude?

100% efficient system? Lmaooo that's quantum mechanically impossible in science and engineering

The average loss in crude refining process is about 5% ... And only about 85% of the product refined have market value

Then add a 6% to 15% cost refining
Then add 10% to 20% profit

Then do the maths again

In manufacturing, waste is inevitable so let say from 159ltr input, output might drop to 150 litres, but there is no provision for waste in manfacturing acount therefore selling prices is computed base on "inputs" solely that doesnt input 100% efficiency

Selling price is calculated base on inputs not your output .. Learn

Oga there is a standard all you have to do is google.. U think the figures I gave are from me?

You don't manufacturer figure from air

I gave you a chance to point out the unrealistic assumptions , i gave you figures

what did you do huh it either you point out the figures i manufactured or we end this conversation

1) Oga conversation rate can't be 100% there must be loses... Internet said about 5% to 8% loses

2) only about 85% of the converted crude is useful that is diesel, kerosene and petrol

3) cost of refining was not included.. Internet said 5 dollars to 15 dollars per barrel

4) dangote profit margins of 15% was not included in your calculations

Is it clear now or u want me to tell u again?

Why should the nnpcl be the sole off-taker of refined petrol from Dangote Refinery?
Why can't they continue to import PMS and let retailers here buy directly from dongote?
Are we expecting any change in price after October sell of crude in naira to dangote and other local refineries? And do they agree to ouch the sell of crude in naira to October.
Answers to these will reveal to us more that we don't know at the moment I guess
Oh God, save Nigeria.

If you do then you are dumb.

Haven't you heard that if you explain Nigeria to someone and the person understands then it wasn't explained well.

This assumption of yours is not even close to being accurate. In fact, please super dead this idea you have completely. undecided
What’s in one barrel of oil?
Today’s infographic comes from JWN Energy, an oil and gas news site. Using Chevron as a source, it shows 17 different things that can be made from each barrel of oil.

Here is everything that can be made from just one barrel of oil:
► Enough gasoline to drive a medium-sized car over 450km (280 miles).
► Enough distillate fuel to drive a large truck for almost 65km (40 miles). If jet fuel fraction is included, that same truck can run nearly 80km (50 miles).
► Nearly 70 kWh of electricity at a power plant generated by residual fuel.
► About 1.8 kg (4 lbs) of charcoal briquettes.
► Enough propane to fill 12 small (14.1 ounce) cylinders for home, camping or workshop use.
► Asphalt to make about 3.8 L (one gallon) of tar for patching roofs or streets.
► Lubricants to make about a 0.95 L (one quart) of motor oil.
► Wax for 170 birthday candles or 27 wax crayons.
But that’s not all. After producing all of the above products, there are also enough petrochemicals leftover to be used as a base for one of the following:
► 39 polyester shirts
► 750 pocket combs
► 540 toothbrushes
► 65 plastic dustpans
► 23 hula hoops
► 65 plastic drinking cups
► 195 one-cup measuring cups
► 11 plastic telephone housings
► 135 four-inch rubber balls
Oil is not a one-trick pony, and the gooey black liquid actually has thousands of applications. The above serves as one example of how a barrel could be used, but here’s a list of many other oil applications. It includes everything from guitar strings to antihistamines.
Whatever your opinion is of fossil fuels, it’s still pretty astonishing what can be produced out of each barrel of oil.
