Christianity has nothing to do with the bible but rather the whims of the many scammers-in-the-lords these men serve; they are the gods the Christians worship. undecided
I agree with you

Your brother served God not the church. The church is not a charity organization. What did your village meeting do for him? If you like convert to another religion...we won't miss you a bit. It's your type that gives 5 naira offerings and expect the church to be solving all your problems.... Irresponsible entitlement mentality bafoon
If the church is not a charity organization what then is the church? And enterprise that should be listed on the stock exchange.
Life and death will judge you people for turning the bible upside down for personal gains.

Many people comment irresponsibly with simplistic and myopic thinking, failing to consider the relevance to the subject matter and giving us misquided comparisons.

I, too, could pose 1001 frivolous questions on the issue based on the question you asked.

For example:
Is there any record of Jesus paying for food?
Do you pay for your food today abi you are still eating free food?

Did Jesus pay for the donkey he used for transportation? Do you pay for your transportation today abi dey still dey carry you like a baby?

Is there any mention in the Bible where Jesus pay for house rent?
Do you pay rent today abi na free house you still dey live?

I could go on and on. Please contribute thoughtful insights, rather than biased opinions against the church
If Jesus and the disciples don't pay for food, when then do they have a purse and a treasure or account keeper?

This is a disconnected and pretty much stewpid comeback rant! He asked if Jesus Christ or His disciples charged people money for burials. undecided
…. Is there anywhere Jesus Christ or his disciples asked anyone for money for burial?? There are times when we still need to ask ourselves what will JESUS DO?
Jesus Christ never charged any human for food, healings, or even burials. undecided

Many people comment without thinking, posing nonsensical questions to disparage the Body of Christ. I question whether you or the persons you are defending genuinely understand Christianity, as your reasoning resembles that of a primary 2 school student.
How can you ask non-existent questions?
"Is there anywhere Jesus Christ or his disciples asked anyone for money for burial??"

Consider this:
Did Jesus ever attend burials? No, instead of attending burials, Jesus raised people from the dead. This highlights His divine power and compassion.
You too said this ;👇
" Jesus Christ never charged any human for food",
Yes, It's true Jesus never charged anyone for food, so does this mean churches should responsible for daily free food to their congregation?
How old are you self? Even primary 2 student can not voice this out.

Regarding burial grounds, orthodox churches often have designated areas, which may come with fees. If one cannot afford these fees, they can opt to bury their deceased on their private land..
Simple as abc, this straightforward concept shouldn't be hard to understand.

1. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 We can't ask non-existent questions but somehow you can answer non-existent questions? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

2. If Jesus Christ never attended any burials nor charged anyone for burials and Jesus Christ also never charged anyone for food.... how then do you even begin connecting your churches which charge people for burials or food to Jesus Christ? What the heck have your churches which are glorified business centers — they pretty much charge for everything from their members — to do with Jesus Christ who never charged His followers for anything? undecided

3. Jesus Christ is famous for saying, "Let the dead bury their dead." Your burial ground rituals which apply only to the dead — those who do not belong to Jesus Christ since His followers are instead referred to as the living — have nothing to do with Jesus Christ but your church business enterprises and their bottom line. undecided

4. Your reasoning is severely destroyed from the roots which is why you can't even see the obvious disconnect between your belief and the reality of this man who you pretend your belief associates with. This inability to critically process logic is typical of people under religious delusion, mind you. undecided
