Tinubu Shifting Economy From Consumption To Production – Eniola Badmus by Morbeta11(op): 11:32am On Sep 17, 2024
Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus has noted that the Nigerian economy under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is moving from consumption to production.

She stated that the country’s imports are decreasing while exports are increasing, indicating an expanding economy.

The actress noted that Nigeria, under Tinubu, has made unprecedented progress in trade, highlighting a shift from consumption to production

Eniola Badmus made this known via a post on an Instagram handle: “Our imports are reducing, and our exports are increasing. That is a sign that our economy is expanding.

For the year-to-date 2024, our imports were N24.44 trillion, while our exports stood at N38.59 trillion. This gives us an unprecedented trade surplus of over N14 trillion in just eight months.

“It has never happened in Nigeria. Never. This is a refreshing shift from consumption to production.”

Her evaluation comes amid a backdrop of severe economic hardship and soaring inflation in the country.

Just last month, millions of citizens took to the streets in a nationwide movement known as the ‘End Hunger Protests,’ rallying against the escalating difficulties they face daily.

Imports are reducing because sellers can no longer afford to restock. Some stores are already getting empty.

The long term impacts of currency devaluation and inflation are beginning to kick in gradually.

Many stores may go out of business. The level of hardship is unprecedented.

These same liars and betrayers, just like they did during Buhari’s government for 8 years, lying to Nigerians that Buhari was doing a good job when he was in fact destroying the economy, they’re at it again with Tinubu’s government.

Why are they called betrayers and backstabbers? Just one year after Buhari left office and they’ve stabbed him at the back, telling us he destroyed the economy. The same person they lied to us for 8 years that he was doing a great job.

Compare with OBIdients who were mostly GEJ supporters, they still stand by GEJ even after these many years. You can count on their word, support and partnership

cheesy

If you cant see it, then you are blind

The signs are everywhere. This is one of the few times that it pays to be a farmer and thats just Agriculture

Do we need to remind them about how INNOSON keyed into FG electric car initiative or we should even include Dangote refinery

This is the second best time to be a Nigerian, peep into the future and smile widely

Ode!!! Does she think that the surge in export earnings is as a result of any meaningful government policy? Clearly, Nigerians cannot afford to buy in USD again because of the huge and unstable exchange rate. Naira at N1650 to the dollar is what is discouraging import but the question is how many of these things do we produce? Most of our exports are raw materials/farm produce not manufactured products, basically this why inflation has refused to come down.

They continue to give fake statistics to deceive Nigerians, why will importation not reduced? When u are killing and reducing the buying power of the people.the Naira continuously depreciates ,prices of goods and items keeps springing up.what I can buy with N1million naira last year is reduced to N250k now,why will importation not reduced?
You claim u are growing the export, why has the naira not appreciated? What is Nigeria producing?
We ain't seen anything yet,Tinubu is replicating what he did in Lagos at the national stage.he go finish us with taxes and virtually tax everything while the poor will continue to die for the Rich to live

they say that our daily fuel consumption is 40m litres. Same figure we have when fuel was 187 naira per litre. Common sense should dictate that such figure should drop by almost 50% when price of fuel skyrocketed to over 600 naira per litre

Same thing is applicable here. I have been a constant customer on aliexpress, however, since the exchange rate went up to 1200 to a dollar, which is over 8 months now, I have not purchased anything on aliexpress since. This explains the reduction in import. As for the export, I don't see what we are exporting, unless we are exporting air.

tribalism is the biggest problem with this country. during the #ENDSARS protest against the Buhari government all yoruba artists both local and international rose up and protested against the Buhari administration, they all also rose up against the GEJ administration and protested. now we have the worst government in the Tinubu administration in less than 2 years in office, people are facing the hardest economic hardship in their entire lives yet the Yoruba artists have become dumb and mute and many of the like drum have become the mouthpiece of the Tinubu administration... SHAME.

Can she tell us what we are exporting?

What exactly are we producing?

I know crude oil gives us majority of our export and forex.

People reduced imports not because we produce locally, but because the costs for importing are too high and an average Nigerian now may not be able to afford the selling price.

Eniola Badmus is 100% correct as Nigeria is gradually shifting to a production country instead of consumption country. The situation will not correct in a single day but President Tinubu is gradually steering the country in the right direction.

Even though Eniola Badmus has spoken facts, it will not stop IP0B/0BIDIENTS from attacking her mercilessly as those group of people are easily triggered by any positive news about Nigeria
