Keeping their crown 👑 - Team Anambra successfully defended their Girls' 4x100m title, winning their second consecutive GOLD medal at the National Youth Games with a time of 48.21s. Interestingly, two of the quartet who won GOLD for them last year, also played a part in helping the state retain the title this year, beating Edo who finished 2nd in 48.82s, and Team Ogun 3rd in 48.90s. There is something Anambra State is doing right!! ** Frames 3 & 4 - last year's team who won GOLD in the Girls' 4x100m. *NYGA*

The main challenge now is how best to develop the talents discovered at the NYSF. In athletics we need not look to learn from Europe but Jamaica a fellow developing nation doing excellently in sprints at all global events. |
