Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has announced the endorsement of Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum as Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, Borno, and Yobe states.

Fintiri expressed confidence in Damagum's leadership, citing a Federal High Court Abuja restraining order that necessitates Damagum's completion of former Chairman Dr. Iyorchia Ayu's tenure.
