Fake News!

The only two Nollywood filmmakers who surpassed N100 million in the list are Funke Akindele and Naz Onuzo.

Others apart from the mentioned names above are not up to N45 million naira just living fake life on social media.

Pls, not With all these concocted, inflated figures and ratings.....their actors and movies are not known Southside Southwest.

Yet a very simple research on the international scene about Nollywood will show you that it is rather the Igbos and their movies that are known.
Igbo actors and movies are way more popular in every other regions of Nigeria, the whole of West Africa, central and southern African countries and also in the Caribbean countries.

The Yoruba movie people focus on big money cinémas&streaming platforms for box office records and bragging rights to claim& snatch Nollywood control..........while the Igbo&SS movie people actually control& dominate Nollywood and focus on cheaper money&easily accessible movies beamed on social media platforms, distributeurships and few streaming platforms with their goal simply to entertain&educate viewers at low cost.

No matter how Yorubas cook up figures, propagate and hype their movies, producers and actors...they cannot take Nollywood over from Igbos, those ones control the industry silently&steadily.

The truthful facts about Nigeria's entertainment industry is....

Movies..................Yorubas=25%, Igbos=40%, SS 17%, North= 18%

Secular music........Yorubas=40%, Igbos=25%, SS= 26%, North= 9%
Gospel music......... Yorubas=21%, Igbos=37%, SS=32%, North=10%
Islamic music.......Yorubas=35%, Igbos=1%, SS=3%, North=61%.

Comedy...........Yorubas=21%, Igbos=26%, SS=44%, North=9%.

Skit/Social media influencers.........Yorubas=25%, Igbos= 28%, SS = 30%, North=17%

Writers...........Yorubas=28%, Igbos=33%, SS=21%, North=18%.

Painters/Sculptors/Artists.......Yorubas=29%, Igbos=26%, SS=22%, North=23%

This is the correct representation of Nigeria's entertainment industry.
