COMRADES, Nigerians thought that they will heave a sight of relief when Dangote's refinery comes on board, not knowing that we are still in for it, as long as there's a bad government at the moment, Nigerians should not expect anything positive If I may ask, who did we offend that we can't get things right in this country? |

Biodun556:Okay, let him reduce fuel price to N65 and pay subsidy of 920 per liter....till all our budget goes on subsidy, and we are using loans for everything else...till IMF decides that they should stop pampering us, and removes the loan cover... Then the real shege starts. |

Biodun556:Don't I? When Nigeria stops subsidising my fuel use and charges me fuel tax instead like many nations already do, I'm very certain I will understand the news then. |

Brendaniel: Biodun556:It's quite simple. Government stops setting price through NNPC, and lets the marketers set the price instead. Simple and short. Fuel is not cheap. Even at N1000, it isn't. Time to face realities, boys. |

Brendaniel:Next, it is sold at the price the seller wants, and buyers have a choice whether to buy or not. We will have to ensure there is no prize fixing of course, and that sellers don't collude to set prices, which, considering iya loja setting gari price in the market might not be so easy, but its still the way to go. And before you ask, yes, it will be more expensive than it currently is, just as free market has made the dollar dearer. |

Talking plenty yet not really saying anything...! SMH!!! Simply put for the benefit of those confused by the man's needless verbal circling around the truth: Fuel prices are high because of cost of Crude oil, and the taxes placed on imported refined Petroleum products. |

How come Dangote that was wailing and moaning like a banshee in heat a few months back is suddenly quiet? How much did he sell to NNPC? Him no gree talk. The answer don turn to calculus and differential equations. They have released press statements upon press statements yet neither NNPC nor Dangote can conclusively verify how much they are buying from the refinery. When the man mentioned that the loan he collected to build the refinery was already repaid, I knew we were gonna be smelling our arses. |
