The rebel forces are not equivalent to Igbos as whatever crimes they committed were against everyone who opposed them. They were called saboteurs and this included both Igbos and non-Igbos. However the crime against Igbos was ethnic based as all Igbos were termed rebels including women and children. We all need forgive, unite and develop Nigeria instead of everyday looking for reason to marginalize Igbos.

Did you for one second make an attempt to watch that video and carefully listen to Colonel Bako tell the history of when his family arrived Port Harcourt before they were brutally and savagely uprooted and dispersed from their roots and family home?
For your information his family arrived in Port Harcourt area in the 1800's . They domiciled in Port Harcourt and had their family house there before hoardes of Ibo killer squads attacked and killed them pre civil war. He is very specific in his testimony that the attackers were IBO and not IKWERRE people speaking Ibo language.
I would advise you to watch that video,enlighten yourself and get an education so that upstarts and scallywags like Nnamdi kanu and Simon Ekpa don't lead you down the road to perdition the second time.

Funny enough Achebe actually confirms the brutality meted out to mid western tribes especially the Edoid groups. However, he took careful pains to claim they were merely beaten not killed. Reading "there was a country" really broke my heart as I lost so much respect for the man.
