BlueRayDick:I get he has struggled ,Other big strikers do struggles also but na only Haaland dem Dey call out ,even Kane Dey ghost big games self |

andrewbaba44:The problem here is that you read his post with pre-conceived notion in mind. His initial post he made mention of Haaland ghosting against teams with a strong defence. He referenced yesterday's game and drew inference from it that Haaland will most likely struggle against Arsenal (Another team he has struggled to impress against in their last 3 meetings due to how good their defense is). What he said was actually not out of place. |

spillo1:Which are the EPL teams that Haaland has never scored against. He has only spent 2 complete seasons in the EPL so lets see the names of clubs he hasnt scored against to test this theory |

raumdeuter:Haaland should have dribbled past 9 players to score to prove he does not ghost in big games because 17 goals in 25 matches against Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern etc. Is scoring against small teams with weak defenses. Even when they cannot point out 1 chance his team created for him that he was supposed to score from. But but but...go to the thread of perrenial losers and you'd see some people claim that the difference between City and Arsenal is ....wait for it...Haaland. Comic relief. |

Shegzdave:By this I assume Arsenal have won the league recently? Okay, they've at least beat City at the Etihad? No? That's what I thought. And let me use this opportunity to point something out. There is nothing tactical about parking the bus. If you park the bus, the opposing team will have less chances to score. Not zero chances but fewer than normal. This information will come in handy soon. |

Android17:Oga they didn't win the league but they made you scoreless both home and away last season. Even your apari is now wary of them cause of how far they've grown especially with defence. You could not score one against Boko Haram inter means you will then enter super saiyan mode to flog them wetin no good, right? |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by WhoDeyHause: 7:35pm On Sep 19, 2024 |
See how mid most of these games look after Tuesday, imagine mid bums like soft brest and dead sturm having a mid face off while the pride of London are on a short sabbatical. Champions league fell off mehn. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Android17: 7:38pm On Sep 19, 2024 |
WhoDeyHause:When I was scoreless how many goals were they scoring and what did they use it to achieve? You're not an Arsenal fan so there's no need laughing at you. Imagine being proud of not winning the league because you did not lose a game. Can never be City. |

Android17:I’m not interested in going back and forth with you but restricting an opponent to little or no schance of scoring is a tactic to winning a match, every match requires different tactics and you don’t have to play beautifully and to end up loosing. The main aim of every team is to win at the end of the match deploying any tactics available to WIN. |

Shegzdave:So what part of my post was critical of that approach? I wasn't because that was not the point. The point was to show that "being defensively strong" and "parking the bus" are often times conflated but they do not always overlap. It is oftenly overlooked here but City is a defensively strong team. Same goes for Arsenal. The difference is, when you park the bus you are basically depending on the other team to miss the fewer chances they'll get. Good luck depending on that in the league that is long drawn out. It might explain why your team does not win the league. |

andrewbaba44:Harry Kane is a certified multiple plantinum ghoster in big games. It's a common theme with Haaland at City. When he mets an opponent with a mean defense he ghosts or when the occasion gets serious. 10 finals and semi finals appearances for City: 0 goal and 0 assist compare that terrible record to someone like Vini who has 7 goals and 5 assists in 11 finals alone for Madrid. This is not downplaying his ability but he needs to show up more in the biggest games and against the teams with the best defense. Right now he is more of a flat track bully pumping hatricks against Ipswich and Fulham. |
