When time reach, the British envoy self go pick race.. Except political actors, the bulk of the masses are not interested in any political or military overthrow, we just want to cry out before we are killed with hardship and if political actors take advantage of that, e no concern us If there is no crack, lizard won't be able to come in, and only a very wicked person will beat a child and not allow him or her to cry. Reduce this hardship and watch any protests fizzle out. My own just be say the government of the day just keep looking for ways to increase wahala for ordinary citizens We still dey battle fuel wahala, in like a month now, two different taxes on banking transactions on top the 10k wey I get for account |

The protest is necessary but no one should be allowed near power installations or burn houses and looting or wave flags and shout coup coup coup... ✌️ |

British Envoy ![]() No vex 0 But is the British council part of the British diplomatic mission ? Because I thought it was more cultural and educational than political. But what do I know. But then again these colonialists can be funny , those Russian flags must have really shaken them up, especially when they remember how the waving russian flags led to the discharging of the french from Sahel. |

![]() True! But is foreign interest also likely behind the unnecessary hardship/difficulties the government is making people go through? Whatever it is, the anti-people policies of the government is the major enabler of all these protests. |

When they started shouting protests, they were asked for their demands. They rushed and came up with disparate and somewhat silly demands. Their demands were not properly thought through and they were not practical within the time frame of their silly protests. On the first day, the protests turned to riots. I came here and analyzed their demands, because some of the arrowheads of the protests were those who wanted to take advantage to get over the defeat they suffered: https://www.nairaland.com/8173751/analyzing-demands-protesters-emkz Some airheads attempted to disparage my submissions. Within three days, I was proved right as Russian flags started flying in a certain part of the country and some misguided folks started calling for regime change. Now, it is possible that certain individuals received funds for the protests. What could be the game plan of the sponsors? Let us remember that when chaos reigns, there are certain people who benefit from it. Due to banditry and terrorism in the north, gun-running and negotiation for ransom payment has become big business. Information on those to be kidnapped as well as supplying drugs and women to terrorists has also become big business. A certain Sheik is known to be an advocate for bandits and terrorists. Let us also not forget that some people use insecurity to engage in illegal mining and oil their political arsenal. After the riots, persons were arrested, and rightfully so. Instead of decent human beings to allow rioters have their day in court, organizations like Amnesty International and some amateur and inexperienced activists started calling for their unconditional release. So who'd bear the cost of people's properties they ruined? This is the double standards of those leading protests and their supporters cum spnsors: they insist there must be no punishment for obvious crimes. When people rioted and burnt public properties in the UK, they were prosecuted and jailed with no single British citizen called for their release. We are a society of laws. If you do the crime, you'd face the law. |

With the excruciating hunger and hardship in the land, it's actually an insult to the sensibility of Nigerians for anyone to dare suggest that "protests are sponsored". Insult ontop injury! |

Is the British envoy against any protest that will enshrine good governance in Nigeria? What kind of double standard is this? If they truly love Nigeria, I expect them to lend their voices in criticizing some of these government policies that are anti human and interpreted as "State Capture". Politicians are busy looting the sate treasury while the masses are suffering. |
