Bulaba bastards will abuse Obaseki thinking he's like their regular Oshodi motorpark economists running things in Abuja but the truth has nowhere to hide, eventually it must come out. If una like, no use una brains cool
I doubt you understood what obaseki was saying at all.......tinubu pushed for LG autonomy, you all were criticising him and say all sorts on why it wouldn't work ......tinubu is also pushing for state police, you inredeemable inept cynics are still all yapping about how it wouldn't work and how tinubu doesn't know what he is doing.

Now tell me,all this obaseki mentioned do you think it can happen overnight, that's even if you have a deep understanding of what he was trying to say......let me help you out, what he is saying is we need to devolve power from Abuja to the constituent states and LGA's which is the major plank for the restructuring we need to set this country for development......the problem with nigeria is structural and not about tinubu or obi or atiku.

This has been the same ideology tinubu had before he became president and now seeking ways on how it can be implemented......do you now see that those of us supporting tinubu have been vindicated by no other person than obaseki from the opposition.

Re: Nigeria Technically Bankrupt, Says Obaseki by wink2015(m): 8:20am On Sep 20, 2024
This is a statement of facts.

Buhari was printing currency to maintain federal expenditure.

And this money was not backed up by production or any major economic activities.
Re: Nigeria Technically Bankrupt, Says Obaseki by wink2015(m): 8:24am On Sep 20, 2024
Agriculture is the major investment Nigeria government must priortize.

It must start with northern Nigeria as they have the biggest landmass.

Instead of turning those arable land for banditry use the land to grow food and step up economic activities.

DesChyko:
It's a pity. The truth remains that you cannot give what you don't have. This government came in through the back door, and the actors are as foul minded and anti-people as they come. You cannot begin to expect good things from them. Even the most kind-hearted gestures are Trojan horses. There's always a catch at the detriment of the masses. The most pious of people will have their intentions putrefied once you stick around long enough. Don't take my word for it, compare APC sycophants before and after. That cult churns out the most despicable of humans amongst the populace.

Asher Kines most recently oversaw the unveiling of a borehole project to provide potable water for Amper community in Kanke LGA. This community only knows 3 ground wells since the beginning of time from which they get their water. Now, two months ago, Yusuf Adamu Gagdi of the APC, the House of Rep member who oversees this constituency, gifted his daughter a Lexus RX for graduating secondary school. Compare the cost of this SUV to how many boreholes it can provide for the many communities in this LGA.

Government overspending still remains the chief cause of inflation. We are all in this mess because of the government of the day. You cannot begin to expect good things from them. Even their most kind-hearted gestures are Trojan horses.
Hello, Mr. Trojan Horses (seems you are presently reading Greek lits), are you implying that Nigerian innate corrupt nature coupled with government and bureaucratic stealing starts with the current APC regimes? If you are saying that, then you are a master at self deception, or a bamboozling trickster.

Who are the saints to take over from Tinubu? Is it Obi, or Atiku or the military? Look at Nigeria history, when has corruption and mis-governance not been endemic in our leaders characters? Talk of Awolowo, Zik or Ahmadu Bello, they have all faced corruption charges and prosecution in their political careers; and I have a video to prove that. Or were the PDP or LP or APGA angels in government?

Like Obaseki truthfully asserts, Nigeria is malignantly bankrupt, and in debts with every rich nations, and not ready to cut off the foolish vanities of its leadership, which consists in expensive governance structures.

Let's face it, this country is already doomed, and on the quick path of engulfing internal strifes and wars. The best bet is to agree for easy dissolution of the regions making up the nation.

You have come again to sign your today lamentation. Each day, each lamentation. You lamented throughout 8yrs of Buhari till buhari found out you are from inconsequential dot land; you continue again since Obi lost till day. When will you have a moment of laughter in your life? I hope you will not transfer this your anger to your children against Nigeria. Human lifespan has a limited time, create time to be happy, don't always be on a loosing side. Please, try!

But Nigeria was not bankrupt when Tinubu bought a brand new presidential jet of 150 billion naira abi ?
Re: Nigeria Technically Bankrupt, Says Obaseki by ufotunang: 9:10am On Sep 20, 2024
But Nigeria was not bankrupt when 469 national assembly members were given SUV cars of 160 Million naira each and also when 21 billion naira was spent on to renovate vice president residence house...it's a pity

You call a Boeing business jet (bbj) a small aircraft, there is also a Gulfstream and a falcon x put up for sale .....it's obvious you don't know anything about planes.

There is no provision for a yatch in the 2024 budget.....pls get your facts right and stop spreading falsehood.

It's an excuse they cannot pay the 70,000 naira minimum wage they say Nigeria is bankrupt
Re: Nigeria Technically Bankrupt, Says Obaseki by bjdon: 9:15am On Sep 20, 2024
This is the simple truth.

It really no longer matters who is president, if we do not re-structure this country, nothing will work. The only difference with somebody like Perter Obi as president, as that he would try to block some of the more obvious wastages, but ultimately he would find the system too broken to really fix.
If Nigerians REALLY want to move the nation forward to prosperity and development, then the call must be for a total restructure of the federation closer to what was on ground in the first republic

Na wa o. Why are we fond of comparing personalities when talking about key governance issues. He didn't even condemn the present government. He's talking about institutional issues that will NEVER make Nigeria work. Every sound mind should recognise there's a problem with the current Nigerian structure. RAT just rolled out Asoebi as a means to solve one of the institutional issues this man has just talked about. In your rational mind, would that solve our problem?
It goes to show it's either we don't know what we're doing or we're deceiving ourselves. Population is increasing and resources are becoming inadequate. Like someone said its either Nigeria innovates or dies. Time is running out.

Ask that failure how he has managed Edo State's resources in the past 8 years.
Ask him now much me met as IGR and how much it is now.
How many unpaid pensioners did he meet upon assumption of office and how many they are today.
Are you aware that pensioners protested under this fellow as Governor?

If with this your reasoning, you are the fastest spermatozoa of whoever produced you, I wonder how the others are.
How does all you have said now, invalidate what he said, for now leave the messanger and face the message
Re: Nigeria Technically Bankrupt, Says Obaseki by ADUBA1(m): 9:33am On Sep 20, 2024
He met IGR at $2b and is leaving it at $6b. This and many more he has done. Edo was 22nd in GDP ranking in 2016 when he entered, Edo is currently 6th in GDP ranking in the country. Check NBS on this info.

Obaseki is saying the naked truth. The Nigerian FG is incompetent, inefficient, overburdened with many tasks and its operations are hindered by pervasive corruption. For Nigerians to see an improvement in the economy and security, serious restructuring is urgently needed.

RESTRUCTURING ONLY

How can the same policy used when nigeria population was 7m work now that nigeria population is over 200m

When the patriotic group comprising anyankou went to meet tilumbu, he said he's more concerned about economic reforms that constitutional reforms

Small things like state police, states vehicle driver issuance, states collecting vat will go a long way in solving things

RESTRUCTURING ONLY
Re: Nigeria Technically Bankrupt, Says Obaseki by okoloto: 10:07am On Sep 20, 2024
Our leaders know the right thing to do but they will not do it because of personal and tribal interest. Some states are comfortable coming to Abuja to take their own share every month instead of innovate. Very soon they will not have any to share and it maybe late at the time
I pray we don't have Venezuela experience
