Greedy people.

The choice belongs to the citizens on who to purchase from and that it what competition is all about. We have been using the so called dirty fuel for uncountable years with no stories. Even Dangote himself was using the same dirty petrol until he started his own refiniery.

It is our choice who and where to buy from. It is also the business of the marketers where they source their foreign currency from.

Monopoly is always the name of the game for Dangote. Up till now he has been having this back and forth with NNPCL, deceiving themselves. Their fear is that petrol price might be cheaper and therefore eliminate their greedy profit.

Yeye people.
I've been singing it out @ bold

But gullible ignoramuses over here were calling me bluff and they kept fighting for either Dangote or NNPC

E don de clear for their eyes now

And your solution to all these is importation. We continue to export crude and import fuel. Who stopped others from building Refineries and compete? Where are government owned Refineries? Did Dangote stopped others from going into Refinery?
Imported tyres killed Dunlop and Michelin with thousands of jobs lost along the value chain.
You are very shortsighted or in hate of Dangote as most Nigerians ignorantly are.
Where will the jobs come from when we give them away.
Let him export the products as pay his taxes ..why is he now a whistle blower ....It is built in an export processing zone

Must the marketers buy from him.

So because Dangote have started producing fuel, the ones we have been using for years is now bad fuel, forgetting that NNPC was importing the same fuel up until now. Shame on Dangote Refinery and NNPC for trying to monopolize the oil sector.

Did you see me mention monopoly in my post?
Or, do I need to translate it into your native language before you understand?

It is a lie to say the fuel being imported is substandard.
He said the same thing when he was marketing his inferior cement and we all found out it was a lie. Go and see the cement being used to construct roads. How many times do you see then using Dangote cement?
Dangote has never monopolized cement, and it's not new that Dangote cement is not the best and it's not also the most expensive

I guess you were a teenager when Dangote used this same ploy to launch his 3X cement. Go and ask your elders at home if I'm lying. They will educate you better.

First, he said they didn't sell him crude.
Then, he accused them of owning the refinery in Malta.
Now, he's saying the fuel they sell is bad.

He can cry himself to death but he won't be the sole supplier of Nigeria's petrol.

Petrol is a security product and we can't keep it in the hands of one man.
Did Dangote stopped BUA, Leferage and others from producing Cement, why haven't those start selling cement at N600/bag as you want, since Dangote price is the problems.
You claimed there's no job in Nigeria and here's someone who has stakes his resources to create the job.
I was at the Dangote Refinery complex and was shocked at the numbers of jobs both directly and indirectly. Why will Nigerian sides with the evil cartel to frustrate DRL

Take a critical look at NNPC price model of pms from Dangote..
They got it at 0.55 cent and have used exchange rates of #1637...and also included various taxes and transport costs to land at their #950 per litre..

The question is why using such high exchange rate?
Who caused devaluation of Nairahuh
Why not give concession on taxeshuh

All these are what FGN can do something about.

Dangote is a private business man. Government knows how much they sold crude to him and are in the best position to know if he is overpricing.

My point is...it is still the responsibility of President Tinubu and his cabinet to do something...and not Dangote
The exchange rate is not regulated again so which one do you expect them to use

We are not falling for this blackmail. If the inferior fuel has not damaged our engines after years of importation, then it's not about to change now.

Major marketers like Total, MRS, etc. will stop importing the day buying from you becomes less expensive. This is common sense.

How much they sell theirs in the coming days will let us know if both you and NNPC are reaping us.

Your company issues press statements everyday yet you still haven't published how much you sell your fuel till now.

What exactly are you hiding? Why is this too hard for you?
When the Dangote vs NNPC vs marketers issue started late last 2 month, only a very foolish person would fall for the cunning Dangote

And sadly the foolish ones are the majority 😔

He's asking for a level playing ground. I'm sure you have siblings looking for jobs, the job is already gone with textile factory closures.
Face the fact, let all these marketers come together and build Refineries and compete.

Let him crash his price if he doesn’t want importation Atleast there is no landing cost, taxes or whatever cost. What happened to cement industry must not happen to oil industry
We can’t be at the mercy of one greedy man

From day one, I have smelled the aim of the Greedy monopolist

Dangote s antecedents in the cement sector show he cannot be trusted on the long run. He is à greedy businessman that wants total control of all critical sectors of the economy. This is not good for other businesses who wants to have a share of the market.
In every climate in the world, every capitalist wants to maximise his profit, it is the government, the regulatory bodies that hold him in check. Instead of blaming Dangote, blame your politicians. Don't forget that Dangote still have courage to set something up in Nigeria which I can tell still benefits the people. He should be encouraged for daring to enter the stormy ocean the politicians who steal your money abandoned to set up refineries abroad. Or are you not aware those who steal your money have refineries abroad from where they import fuel in? You prefer their method to Dangotes?

I asked a simple question which you couldn't answer.

Do we starve millions of Nigerians because of one company and the few thousands be employs?

How much was fuel before he started refining?
How much is it now?

The Dangote you are defending? How much is he selling his petrol?

The problem you have is that years of hunger and deprivation has made you unable to reason properly.
You can make your points without being rude.
It's obvious that you missed the dynamics of what transpired.
Before now, NNPC was the sole importer of PMS because they provided under recovery of cost (subsidy) and all the marketers buy from them. Landing cost is average of about N1,100/liters. NNPCL sells at about N550/liters meaning they are providing N500/ liters in subsidy. Now with Dangote fuel coming on stream at N766/liters, NNPC has now completely removed his hands from subsidy and passed on 💯 cost plus profit to Nigerians.
I had expected that rather than completely remove subsidy they should have allowed maybe a N300/liter to reduced their cost and support Nigerian.
Whatever savings Dangote brought has been hijacked by NNPC.

Many of you are beginning to see clearly what we have been saying about dangote.

All fingers crossed till October 1st when he will begin to buy crude from nnpcl in naira.

The price he will announce will determine if marketers will continue importation or not.

If dangote decides to sell petrol to marketers at higher cost after purchasing crude in naira, marketers will continue to import fuel and Nigeria may be forced to start selling crude to hom in dollars while dangote continues to export his products.

Whoever wrote this piece is an ID10T!

Who are the domestic refiners and other than Dangote, what is their contribution to product availability in Nigeria, How are they getting their crude ( Not from NNPC for sure)?

How come that since the coming of Dangote refinery there's this talk of quality of PMS, is it not the same substandard quality they've been importing and Nigerians have been using for several years now?

If importers feel they can get the fuel and make it cheaper and available to Nigerians more than what Dangote and NNPC are doing, then the question we should be asking is why NNPC is positioning itself as a sole buyer from Dangote? Why is a domestic refined product more expensive than imported one? Will NNPC come out to say they're still subsidizing the imports by IPMAN members?

Who told you that dangote is a patriotic monopolist?

Which sub standard fuel? These people keep looking for ways to choke Nigerians. Let them import. If it is cheaper we go buy, if it is expensive we will leave it. Let us have alternatives. And it will help reduce the price. Besides, it is bad fuel and NNPCL has been selling it to Nigerians all these years abi na our dead refineries dey produce?

All what you type doesn't add up or show logic. If marketers import dirty fuel and sell in naira to us where will they get their dollars?
Are they taking the naira we pay to USA to get newly refined PMS?

How is what they import cheaper? Who told you they'll sell cheaper? It's always maximum profit and NNPC controls the flow.
You just want to support continuous sabotaging of Nigerian economy by greedy few
Do you need any logic to see clearly what’s going on?

Where is the evidence of the dirtiness of the petrol please? Or you just thrive on sensation without asking simple questions?

“How is what they import cheaper”? Do you know their source? Do you know their actual costs? Where is the evidence that Dangote, who refined locally here will be cheaper than their? Mr. Man by common sense, if Dangote sells at 895 as alleged and yet government subsidizes, what the difference with imported petrol?

Are you not aware that it is in the place of Dangote to de-market imported fuel, just to create market for his petrol? Who sabotages the economy more between a man who has received waivers in trillions to establish the refinery and others who are disadvantaged in the corridors of power? A man who received over $3 billion in assistance from government to establish the refinery and others?

This is how we allowed imported textiles to kill the textile industry in Nigeria. Today Millions of jobs have been lost, aside it has also contributed to the collapse of Naira.
Sorry young man, textile mills were not killed by importers, but rather government did it. Have you ever wondered what happened to cotton production? Have you asked what happened with the horrible government policies?

Look at rice today. Borders were shut because of favorable business conditions for locals producers. Today a bag of Nigerian produced rice stands at 100K. Imported rice at 120 and people have their choices. Local producers make it harder when we all know that Nigerian rice should not exceed 20K per bag.

These same citizens will still accuse the Nigerian Government of unemployment.
U will always get the leaders you deserve,it's the worst sabotage on the Nigerian state for anyone to import a single drop of refined product when we have a Refinery that can produce all we need in Nigeria.
It's an own goal for NNPCL to even give import licence after it has spent billions to repair our dead Refineries.
Seriously Some Nigerians are more dumb than we think they are.
God bless Nigeria

Why is Dangote always scared of economic competition?
Why does he always have to create monopoly power for his businesses to thrive?
Do you not think it'll be a great danger to you and the economy if Dangote solely controlled the oil sector, same way he did to the Cement industry?
Do you not understand that market forces determine price in a competitive economy, rather than a single individual?
All these are some of the questions you should ask yourself.
Bro, see, Dangote go cry fire and there's nothing the government can do about it at this point because the sector is Deregulated.
Dangote should man up and face the reality that he cannot continue to have his away. A Buhari would have bent the rules for him but I don't see T-bag doing that.
If you gotta be an internet bully, at least, you've gotta have cognitive substance, that for a start at least. I realized you're not worth the stress when I saw the comment below. How on earth did that even make any sense to you?

I think some of us don't understand the story. Dangote and Co said that the price of pms was intentionally jerked up definitely by fg so that importers can compete with Dangote. That means that Dangote pms was cheaper but they fg hid the price from the masses, which they later inflated. Now, the marketers will need dollar possibly from cbn to import fuel. This will further degrade our Naira. Dangote local products brings in more forex when exported. So, which is better.
Let us fear God and try to say the truth. We have all been agitating for local production and less dependence on imported goods yet the selfish ones among us want to kill a local industry. Ę beru Olorun ooooh.
See how you are confusing yourself. If dangote claim nnpcl intentionally jerked up price to enable importers compete, why didn't dangote announce his price by himself?

Why is he insisting that nnpcl must be the sole uplifter of his refined product while other independent marketers are queuing and waiting for him to announce his price so they can begin lifting fuel from his refinery?

Dangote wants to sell fuel at a very higher price than the imported fuel. He wants nnpcl to buy his fuel at a higher price and then subsidize it to Nigerians at affordable price while he pockets the subsidy.

That is why he has resorted to calling the imported PMS 'bad products'. Just to justify his unreasonable high cost.

If he means well, let him open his mouth and announce his price by himself.

The man is just hiding behind nnpcl to create more hardship for Nigerians while nnpcl receive all the insults from Nigerians.

Please let a local industry die so that 300 million citizens can survive.

It's Dangote's right to ask for tax holidays, duty waivers, etc to be able to compete favourably but to suggest a ban of cheaper option that bothers on livelihood of 300 million people in the interest of one capitalist's profit is evil.

How many people do you imagine die daily because they can't afford drugs, food. How do indigent pupils continue school. Add the multiplier effect of Dangote's N1,000 fuel to their trouble.

This was how he was calling other cements inferior when he launched his 3X cement. Eventually, it was a all a ruse to wipe out competitors.

He wants Mobil, Total other International oil companies to be subservient to him. The nonsense he did to Lafarge, let him try it with those ones and he will see the results.

Nigeria gave Dangote unlimited FX lower than market rates to build that refinery. It is better that the refinery packs up instead of Nigerians to suffer from his unlimited greed.

If he's not careful, those ones will undercut him so bad that he will sell his refinery to those iron condemn boys.
