I Came To Work, Not For Money’ - Tinubu Tells Ex-NASS Leaders by BeeBeeOoh(op): 7:44pm On Sep 20, 2024
President Bola Tinubu has reassured Nigerians that his administration’s primary focus is on driving real change in areas like infrastructure, food and energy security, education, and economic stability, rather than personal gain.

Speaking during a meeting with the Forum of Former Presiding Officers of the National Assembly, led by former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, Tinubu made it clear that he is committed to working for the benefit of the country.

“I didn’t come to look for money and exploit the situation; I came to work. I asked for the votes, and Nigerians gave them to me,” Tinubu remarked, reinforcing his dedication to serving the people.

Tinubu expressed his gratitude for the support from the forum, regardless of party affiliation, and called for continued unity and cooperation to tackle the challenges facing the nation.

Reflecting on Nigeria’s past and present challenges, Tinubu admitted that certain sectors, such as education and community development, were neglected during periods of high crude oil production.

He stressed the importance of addressing dilapidated schools and increasing student enrolment by creating a conducive learning environment.

The President also laid out his administration’s plans to improve infrastructure, diversify energy sources, and ensure strict compliance with financial regulations.

He highlighted the need for collaboration and inclusiveness, drawing from the experiences of other developed countries.

“Yes, there is hardship, but how did we get here? We neglected our communities, we neglected the goose that lays the golden eggs,” Tinubu stated, acknowledging the urgent need for structural reforms.

Senator Ken Nnamani, speaking on behalf of the group, praised Tinubu’s leadership and offered full support for his administration’s efforts to address Nigeria’s pressing challenges, such as insecurity, economic downturn, and infrastructure decay.

He expressed confidence that Tinubu’s experience would help overcome these difficulties.

The meeting marked the President’s first official engagement with the former presiding officers since assuming office.

Form an association to cash out, look at the hypocrite wabara hobnobbing with a group that is offering full support to the President. Tomorrow, he goes to Bauchi to talk about ousting the present administration.

He came to work but aside from the atrocious policies he has used to cripple the Nigerian economy(let's pretend those had nothing to do with stealing money), his office is marked by some of the highest levels of corruption ever recorded in the last 25 years. His own wife is not removed from it all, neither is he. undecided

What I do not understand is why the Nigerian people have yet to fire this man and send him to jail where he belongs. By the time this man is done with the country, Sudan will look a lot better than Nigeria. He has been getting his hands on the Nation's oil resources and this all while in office. Yet the people shrug it all off as if it is nothing. lipsrsealed

Balablu is not for the money but baba has been spending our money with reckless abandonment.

He has been spending our scarce resources on needles projects such as the Lagos - Calabar coastal road, purchase of yacht, purchase another private jet, renovation of VP residence.

He has also borrowed lots of $$$ from world bank and heap more burden of our international debt profile.

If you are reading this post and you voted for balablu, I leave you for God.

a big clown at that!!! , he has not shown any step to make anyone see or feel that he never forced himself in for anything order than his personal ego, interest and money. The cost of governance is absolutely high.

He has not carried out any reforms to tackle corruption and boost the public confidence in his government . He is not prudent , keeping and toeing the same past mistakes.

Giving huge sums to law makers . Funneling billions to them as constituency projects ! What the hell is that? The law makers always say there are in to make laws ! So what on earth is the continues practice of constituency project that end up being abandoned and not maintained, that is if the money is not stolen?
Mr president!

You are in for you and your family … we have seen how you aided and used your influence to aid your brother to buy over an oil firm.
If you are serious ! Cut down cost of governance
Strengthen the EFCC , what the hell is going on with Yahaya bellos case! It is an eye sore for one man to be proudly disregarding the judicial and the crime agency! Not like it matters to you or this crazy leaders !

But haba! What lessons are you people showing the younger ones.
Put your toe on corruption! Submit a legislation for death penalty … I am sure the legislature under your pocket with pass it into law. If not mobilize the people to protest along you! That is if you mean you are not in for money and want to save Nigeria!
Nigeria under your watch needs strong reforms and new ways of doing things !

Take the side of the people!
You definitely lack what it takes! You are a typical Nigerian politician! You are there for you and you alone.
How come

Your wife trips cost over 600m in less than how many years? How come you are buying a brand new plane ✈️?

Dear Jagaban lovers,

What is the progress update on Tinubu’s eight point agenda he promised Nigerians in 2023? This is over one year now. How far?

1. food security;
2. poverty eradication;
3. growth,
4. job creation;
5. access to capital;
6. inclusion;
7. rule of law; and
8. fighting corruption

https://punchng.com/translating-tinubus-8-point-agenda-to-recovery/?amp

What about the 50 million jobs promised between 2023 to 2026? How many has Tinubu and his government created?
