Hello, I am a little bit confused. So I do not have to upload the transcript electronically, but send it via courier?

I have statement of result and degree certificate.
Since you have a degree certificate you dont need transcript again.
Just ensure you merge ur degree cert, ielts, and wes summary in one file and upload as pdf

Please house
A friend had 24k cad pof when he got aor his pof was more than enough cus what he needed was 22500 cad.

Since his profile has not gotten fd yet, but now the worth of his 24k cad is now 23k cad.

Is it legal to top up the pof? If yes, does he have to raise webform and inform ircc or there is no need for that
Your friend still has more than the required 22,500 CAD, so there’s no problem at the moment.

If he's concerned about the amount decreasing further, he can always add more funds and submit a webform with a Letter of Explanation (LOE), bank reference letter, letter of non-indebtedness and bank statements attached.

Overall, I don’t see any issue here since he remains above the required amount.

Since the money is in naira, please add a bit more. The rates are still rising, so it’s better to include extra.

IF he can convert it to USD, I’d also recommend he does so, as the rates seem to keep increasing and that would mean more naira to be added. Once converted to dollars, you go just know say you no go dey fear as the rates dey fluctuate.

IRCC has discouraged the provision of upfront medicals in PR applications. They ask applicants to wait for their instructions before undergoing medicals.

Cheers.

Please guys, how can one pay for PR application? We have tried access bank where we put the dollar.

Please what are the alternatives ways you guys use to pay this money. Time is not by my side.

I need your help. I don't know why it is so difficult to pay this kind money from Nigeria.
Using Access Bank dollar account/card should work. That’s what I used when I paid for my PR application last year and it was pretty straightforward.

If you have anyone abroad and you trust, you can transfer the funds to them and ask them to help you pay

Hello

Please I am a software engineer. I have been doing this for 4 years now. my ielts score is not good enough. i have written ielts like 3 times and have not yet gotten the score i want to even meet the past cut off marks. I am thinking of doing a skilled trade for one year (getting a job in a skilled trade and practicing for 1 year) to i can stand a chance to be selected in the skills trade draw. i dont know how to go about this. i dont know what skilled trade to do that would be easy for me to just do for one year to add it as a work experience. i currently work remote as a software engineer so i believe i would cope. Please can anyone help me out with ideas of skilled trade i would be able to do here to enable me get the work experience i need. I am not cut out to learn french to boast my score because i might not have the will to pull through the classes.

Thanks
How frequently are these trades draw ? Nothing is predictable with IRCC right now. The citizens are angry. Even recent PRs like me are also angry. In the past there was a threshold and a clear pathway which encouraged me to invest my money and my time. Today the liberal government has messed up the immigration system. They came up with policies that have led to the flooding of the pool with all kinds of candidates from India and Pakistan who cannot speak english but hold level 10 english certificates and Canadian education + work experience points garnered from quack colleges run by indians in Canada. I know the amount of work I put in to get the points I got to compete and get an ITA in 2020. Today people who put in similar effort and get a 481 are not considered competitive anymore.

My advice to anyone whose NOC is not in demand would be to bite the bullet & learn French (additional CRS points wise and money wise) - not easy at all but it's the most rationale choice now if you look at the options coldly.

With French you'll still be ahead in 2 years time than someone who went to Canada as a student and completed a 1 or 2 yr degree and has 1 year Canadian work experience (CRS grid facts) and will spend far far far less money, especially now that the Student POF (excluding tuition & travel fees) is doubling from Jan 2024 and PGWP extensions are ending soon.

Alternative is to pivot careers and get a job in an in-demand NOCs even if only for a year (for PNP and FSW CBDs)

There's always the chance of a miracle but prepare like there's none on the horizon. Stay hopeful, pray that the odds will favour you more often than not, but please do the needful.

All the best guys!

ABEG make una try learn French.....

2nd French Speakers Draw of 2023 CRS 375

Even if you spend NGN2million and 18months to learn...paying for tutor, exam etc, it's still cheaper than study route!!

CLB 7 across gives 62 CRS points

Those asking where to start should read here or contact AF: https://www.nairaland.com/4672912/all-tef-candidates-canada-immigration#70227147
Just to encourage people to please, please, please learn French...the francophone agenda is political (edit: meaning there is a strong drive to preserve the french language and identity).

There have been and will continue to be even more French draws compared to the targeted NOC draws (last healthcare in July, last STEM in April, last transport in March & last agric in Feb)...meanwhile there have been 8 French draws in 2024.

It may be very hard at the start but I have not met anyone who tried it and regretted.

you are in Canada because of the same liberals, the conservatives tied express entry to job offers remember. The liberals like you pointed out overdid it in the end . in as much as they allowed us in . many recent immigrants who have acquired citizenship are ready to send them packing in the next elections.

Go and apply to Newyork board of nursing for a license and then write your Nclex. From there, there would be a million and one agencies willing to take you on. Hopefully the retrogression would have improved by then. You can do this alongside your express entry.
Please does new york state board of nursing require verification with NMCN for licence and att to write NCLEX?

Exactly. They overdid it basically messing up all the positives. There are a lot of solid candidates around with world with 450-480 points but the sole fact that CEC candidates get more points from schooling in Canada and possessing work experience within Canada keeps them out.

So, let me get it straight: because some people benefited from a scheme, they lack the moral right to criticise when it has been abused by other people? This belief that Nigerian migrants, now dual citizens, cannot or shouldn't criticise a scheme that has been abused is entirely false. Besides, the major abusers here are Indians. Indians have abused the system thereby making it hard for much more qualified people, which most Nigerians/other nationals fall into, to miss out of the window.

Most importantly, it was actually the Conservatives, not the Liberals, who made the scheme popular in 2015. So, the belief that the Liberals enacted everything is a mendacious one.

it was tied to job offer. The chances of getting a job offer from Nigeria is almost nonexistent. The scheme became popular when the liberals relaxed many of the requirements

The point here is stability and a level playing field. I knew I needed 475 points to compete. I eventually got more points by maxing my language test scores and completing 3 years of software development work at a reputable organization. A friend of mine told me about express entry in 2016 and he waited three years to complete three years of work experience at Coca-Cola Lagos before writing IELTS and joining the pool. Someone I know enrolled in UniLag to complete postgraduate studies while working at KPMG to get the points he needed before joining the pool in 2019 also. Shortcut via diploma mills was not a norm in the first few years of reformed express entry (2015-2020). Today agents are cashing out selling all kinds of packages to people ( some of which are fraudulent) all thanks to the liberal government. People are also doing all sorts of things (diploma mills, asylum, visitor visa ) to move to Canada.
