It all boils down to the government nothing more nothing less....

When the economy and government is working those in power are praised and if its the other way round those in power takes the criticisms also
You are still saying that the continuous loss of the 4 refineries is as a result of the fg/nnpc mismanagement of the refineries under the subsidy regime

Or you thought the fuel he is giving us now came from Nigerian crude? Where we not all here when he was going to America and Brazil to buy crude in dollars and complaining that the iocs in Nigeria where selling crude to him 4$ above market price......if you want a full break down go to the plant and ask......
Did you go to the plant and asked before you made the claim that

Makes you wonder if Nigeria has enough crude oil left, cos I don't understand why as of last month or so Dangote was buying crude oil from outside the country for his refinery.
Then we heard NNPC was going to sell to him in Dollars before the backpedaled on it and said they going to sell in naira

all the scams against the country started under yar'adua, the P&ID scam, zhongustan plane seizing.
this problem started under yar'adua when he reversed obasanjo decision to sell the refineries. it was all a game to give sapagote the monopoly. they reverse everything so sapagote can go back and build the refinery and nnpc sabotage the refineries.
how can one man be responsible for refining crude oil for everyone? i mean this is not by chance. nnpc should fix the refineries so that prices can balance out for everyone. everyone supporting sapagote should be careful. na so dem INEC use Mike ogini and everybody dey praise am on Arise tv. wetin happen after? Inec no use bvas for president election. be careful being the mouthpiece of sapagote. what is happening now was all planned to give the man monopoly over pms. the person wey control pms prices will be the richest person in the country by far. he will be untouchable. nigerians no fit speak.

casualobserver:
Your posts highlight what I said in a previous post on the matter.

This is a PR exercise knowing that most Nigerians are ignorant and do not have 2brain cells between them. While one faction blames Dangote, the other will blame NNPC. The end game is that while you are blaming factions and taking sides, subsidy has now been totally removed. NNPC is happy, Dangote is happy, FGN is happy.

Reminds me of a situation when I was young. 2 friends were sleeping with the same girl. The girl thought she was playing both guys but both guys knew. I was there one day when both guys were narrating how one day one of them called and she gave him some cock and bull story because the other guy was with her. The guys were comparing notes and playing along. The guys got what they wanted and it was the girl that got played. I will not be surprised if DRL and NNPC are comparing notes and laughing at the gullibility, ignorance and stupidity of many Nigerians!!

Dangote is getting a market for his product at market rates, NNPC is no longer paying subsidies, FGN is getting g more revenue since NNPC is not paying subsidies. Nigerians don’t seem to realize they are now paying market price for PMS.

In a few months, when Naira to Naira PMS rolls into town price may go down a bit possibly also as a result in the fall in crude prices and Nigerians will celebrate.

This template has been used so many times……We are so predictable!!

Decided when? For all you and I know, Dangote's agreement with the Federal government may have always been to have NNPC as the primary buyer for the product. I mean how else would you explain Dangote not already having a list of local buyers for the product all before all of this? An interview on the news a couple of days ago had one particular marketer insisting that many marketers would have loved to have had the chance to negotiate their own price deal directly with Dangote, something they had no chance to do given that NNPCL was named the primary buyer of Dangote PMS. undecided
Bliev me,marketters are after their selfish interest ...so it NNPC n dangote too.marketers are a bigger problem.Negotiation or nor, dangote will never sell in a loss.N imported fuel will still be more expensive wit a landing cost of 1200

Everybody in this is businessmen (or women) and so are in this for their selfish interests. grin

I don't believe the marketers are what you claim. Rather, I believe that the corruption in the Nigerian system enabled by the Nigerian government is the problem in all of this. The ones who are dying and losers in this deal are the Nigerian people .... all over 200 million of whom have been crippled by all of this. undecided

These idiots dont know the damage they are doing to the economy. It cannot withstand or cope with this drastic and big change in price. Governments all over the world try to keep energy prices stable because it can make or mar the economy. The big change announced by Tinubu is what has damaged the economy up to this level leading to many companies collapsing. It caused further depreciation in the naira to N1600, then subsidy came back again. This one will start another round of worsening economy leading to more collapse of remaining companies, to more depreciation and subsidy will climb back again. The cycle continues. If you want your economy to stabilise and grow, manage energy prices well. not these monumental increases. It has to be gradual and gradual. In this way, you dont kill the economy

Bro you are not close to intelligence as you think, Now the assumption that Forex low demand and a re-alignment in balance of trade will boost earning is as Factual as 1 × 1 = 1, the fact that Nigeria/govt undermines the effect with lies & corruption does not change what is "right"
Dangote export of diesel & aviation fuel is not adequate enough to trigger a turn around, besides dangote is having challenges selling this product

Balance in trade is key here, what is the volume of diesel & aviation fuel exported compared to volume of refined PMS we import .. see the gap naw

Over 60% of our forex goes into importation of PMS .. imagine that stops are you saying the ripple effect wont strengthen the economy/naira

That dangote is private does not undermine GDP cheesy .. try understudy what is GDP ?? olodo

Landing cost refers to his Cost of getting his product to market...which includes his cost of acquiring crude ( crude price, transport, insurance, freightlining)...cost of refining (cost of refining process, taxes, storage and handling)....average price of refining crude anywhere in the world is 0.40 - 0.70 $ per litre.....this includes cost of getting the crude taking 50%, refining cost 13%, taxes which is waived in Nigeria but there are other payments to NPA Nimasa and co, insurance, and freightlining (cost of moving from Mother to daughter ships) there are various factors that does affect the final price this includes cost of crude amd how close the refinery is to the crude....considering 1 barrel was 81 - 84$ as at time of purchase and even his local purchase from IOCS was at a marked up price....the price he got from NNPC was not disclosed but with all things considered there's no way his landing cost is below 0.60$ which at 1637 to 1 dollar is....already 980 naira per litter....this is a conservative estimate as the President of Ipman has said theres no way Dangotes figures can be bellow 1k....maybe when he starts buying in Naira it will change but for now this is reality.......we can even see from what NNPCL sent out they are carrying the cost of paying NMDPRA and other cost for him......if you still don't understand then na you and Dangote go gets go sit down talk this matter.......

if you say "Landing cost refers to his Cost of getting his product to market", how then is every other thing like cost of refining now part of landing cost?

how does everything you said all add up to N1000 you made mention of earlier?

you claimed that this is what makes up landing cost
leokid866:
when you add cost of transport from crude suppliers, his production Cost and storage.....
I dont see the breakdown of these 3 items in your write up and how they all make up N1000.

what is the cost of transportation....

what is the cost of storage...

what is the cost of production...

then sum everything lets see how it all amounts to N1000

or you can simply add up the figures in your write up lets see how they all amount to N1000
