Please show me any outgoing leader that doesn't have a hand in choosing who to succeed them anywhere in the world. You can only claim he is playing godfatherism after he might have left office and still seeing controlling the government, the way Oshiomhole and Wike are doing.
It is his prerogative to join in choosing who replaces him and his fight with Shuaibu wasn't on godfatherism but on ethical issue, which was also buttressed by APC too. PDP and APC wanted their candidate to come from Edo central because it was their turn but someone like Oshiomhole and Shuaibu doesn't want that but Obaseki and APC as a party insisted and that is what you people is calling godfatherism.
Yes, hate Obaseki but don't hate him for standing on the truth that the next governor should come from Edo central. He insisted on it by making many enemies to himself just because he doesn't know how to play politics. He used that insistence to create many bad blood to himself.
